Robson Valley Chalet

I booked a two day stay at the chalet in May when my parents came from Ireland to visit. I followed my booking up with a quick phone call the day before as per the directions on booking.com. I spoke with the owner Glen who was pleasant and helpful. We traveled from Calgary and found the Chalet easily from google maps. We received a warm and friendly welcome from Glen and his partner Michelle. We brought our dog Sketch a Shetland Sheepdog who settled in so easily with the two resident dogs who were super friendly and tame. My Dad had a great time chatting with Glen about their common interests and really appreciated the time Glen took to speak with him. We had the chalet facing the mountains and as soon as we walked up the steps to the chalet we were blown away not only by the view but also by the arrangement of comfy chairs and seats on the patio. We were not disappointed by the inside of the chalet either. The chalet is a beautiful hand crafted wooden lodge that is joined with another chalet with a separate and private entrance. There is a wonderful wooden bed in the living room and a bedroom off the living room which fits 4 adults very comfortably. The chalet was spotlessly clean and the kitchenette was well equipped. We also really enjoyed the huge jet tub in the bathroom. The only complaint that one could find would be if you had loud neighbors in the adjoining chalet. We had a family beside us who we could hear getting ready at 6am the first morning however this was the only noise we heard during the whole stay. This was especially true of the time we spent together on the patio facing the mountains. One could not find a more tranquil and peaceful place to stay without interruptions, traffic noise etc away from the city. This was the perfect location for a peaceful get away. We had read some of the negative reviews so were wary about the booking however we had no issues what so ever with the owners Glen and Michelle who were the perfect blend of friendly and professional. I'm sure my Dad would have enjoyed more time with Glen :) There is a small town about 15-20 minutes away where we got supplies for the BBQ that was on the patio outside our chalet. We cant wait to return for a longer stay and would advise anyone who has read the negative reviews to keep an open mind and to give this place a chance. You wont be disappointed.
