We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Canoe! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The café on the first floor was not only beautiful but also a lovely spot to relax. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well – such a nice bonus after a long day. Another big plus was the parking – it was conveniently connected to each floor, which made unloading and getting around super easy. Would definitely stay again!

Persons in reception and the persons in restaurant were wonderful. Central AC is required.

We had a Mountain View King room and it was stunning. Lovely. Clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything about our stay there was excellent.

Highly recommend. New hotel in an excellent position. The rooms were modern, well maintained and equipped. The outdoor spa area has fabulous views. Staff were helpful.

Sauna & hot tub overlooking the mountains 🏔️

The hospitality was great. The adjoining restaurant had a wonderful breakfast. They give you a pass for the local bus and the bus stop is right in front of the door.

The property seemed recently renovated. Our shower curtains were brand new. They were putting a fresh coat of sealant on the natural wood trim. Happy hour prices were great, as was the food in the restaurant. Close walk to town.

Loved the place, rooms are big & spacious. Aesthetically well designed. In-room coffee and team experience was unique. Location is fantastic, close to downtown Banff. Lots of food options around.

Hotel Canoe was a great find in Banff! The room was nicely appointed and comfortable, with a lovely balcony and a beautiful view—a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening wind-down. It’s within easy walking distance to the Banff townsite, and they even provide free bus passes, which made getting around super convenient.We also enjoyed the cozy fire pits and the relaxing hot tub—perfect after a day of exploring. Would definitely stay here again. Great value, great location, and those views sealed the deal!

Hotel Canoe was the perfect Banff getaway. The location is ideal — right in town but still peaceful, with stunning mountain views. Our room was spotless, stylish, and super comfortable.The staff were friendly and helpful, offering great local tips. We requested a late checkout to experience the amenities with the kids and we were delighted, especially loved the rooftop hot tub. Beautiful design, great service, and unbeatable vibes. We can’t wait to come back!

This hotel is definitely trying to do a great job.  There were many things to like about Canoe.  The staff were uniformly kind, pleasant and helpful.  When we ran into problems, they did their very best to fix them.  Our room was large and had a big patio with extraordinary views of Mount Norquay and Cascade Mountain.  Their in-room coffee system was the best I've encountered: they give you a high-end pour-over system with fresh ground coffee each morning. The bed was big and comfortable.  The coffee and pastries from Sudden Sally were excellent.  The hot pools were nicely done and had great views of the mountains.At the same time, there are things that could be improved.  There was only one bedside table, so we ended up bringing in the table from the patio at night to use as a second one.  The entire room vibrated at night with a low-pitched shuddering sound that made our dog nervous; the best we could guess was that it was the elevator system, but who knows?  It was definitely distracting, though.  We ordered the halloumi salad because grilled halloumi is heavenly, but the salad came with cold little cubes of ungrilled halloumi.  (The staff took this off the bill though, to their credit.)  One night, we were awakened to the smell of diesel fumes and sewage as a truck sucked out noxious content from the pipes.  (The staff gave us a generous credit on our bill, to their credit.)Overall, we would happily stay again, because of the many positives and the great staff.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Canoe & Suites! From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful — always ready with great local tips and friendly smiles. The room was modern, spotless, and surprisingly spacious, with a cozy fireplace and stunning mountain views that made every morning feel magical.One of my favorite parts was the hotel’s location. It's just far enough from the hustle of downtown to feel peaceful and relaxing, yet still super convenient thanks to the free Roam bus passes and the stop right out front.The amenities were top-notch — I especially enjoyed the hot pools after a day of exploring. Sudden Sally, the café/restaurant downstairs, served excellent food and coffee — a great way to start the day.All in all, Hotel Canoe & Suites was everything I hoped for and more. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Banff!

This was a great place to stay. Highly recommended.  Big, modern, clean rooms with balconies and friendly staff.  Amazing views.  I would definitely stay here again.  The only critique I would have, is that the pools and outdoor fire seating area close at 10pm. It would be nice if they kept it open until 11 or 12

Spacious. Street view is awesome. You get a mini kitchen with sink, kettle, coffee machine etc. Dry sauna and hot pool with locker room next to them. Lovely interior. We love that you get parking every floor so you can just walk out to your car in seconds regardless of what floor you are on (and skip the elevator). Front desk let me check in early. There was a little hiccup though.... the bed lining wasn't completely clean on one of the beds. But we were using one bed only anyways.

The hotel seemed brand new and modern. The staff was friendly. It's located at the edge of the small Banff town, which is OK if you, like us, don't mind walking. But we where also provided with free city bus passes for the duration of the stay. A couple of smaller issues were that our room was facing the rooms of another part of the hotel and we had to keep the blinds down in the evening. The toilet had a problem with the flushing mechanism.

The font desk staff were just okay (paid for superior view but the first room was not and had to ask the front desk to move us when many rooms were not booked- not great service) but the staff at the restaurant were amazing! Very friendly, great service and great food. The views at this hotel are fantastic!

We stayed at Canoe and Suites in Banff for two nights and had a great experience overall. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight for us was definitely the hot pool with stunning mountain views—a perfect way to relax after a day of exploring.The hotel’s location is also very convenient, with a bus stop right outside that takes you directly to downtown Banff or Sulphur Mountain, making transit super easy.The only downside was the limited menu at their in-house restaurant, Sudden Sally, but the good news is there are plenty of dining options nearby to choose from.Would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Banff!
