Looks like this resort is still active, might have new owners but not sure if they are better then the previous ones...
We came here late check-in for NY. 
There was still 1 room available so all good so far...
We had to pay our stay upfront.

The resort setting is nice especially with children which like the dinosaurs... no issues here.

2nd day of our stay no more water in the shower... also room was not cleaned nor were we provided new drinking water! Water is a basic necessity in life and we were there with a baby. Even after reminding them about this issue they promised to bring but never came... making loose promises like this and not following up is not the way to treat customers. 
The day visitors got clearly treated before the resort customers...
The shower also never worked anymore... looks like more water went to the resort waterfall then to the room showers...

Looks like many other businesses in Cambodia; when the dollars are in the customers are left to their own...
Being NY-period and fully booked is no excuse.

Same story can be told of their restaurant... 
I had to eat my Tom Yam with the soup pot spoon instead of a normal one, it was chaos all over... we understood even many other Cambodians also complained about the service...

The best thing of our stay was our kayak trip where we kayaked around the mangroves.

Nice at the start but overall a negative experience...

Excellent location, between border of Thailand and Koh Kong town. great dinner, beer and friendly staffs. Very scenic and windy, crystal clear water. The restaurant accepts Thai, USD and local Cambodian currency. A must visit place when you are at Koh Kong.

Paradise 

Unfortunately we were the first to visit the new thmorda anno 2016. Apparently the resort has been split up and the owner of the resort and restaurant had recently changed. The facility, room and surroundings did not meet our expactations and did not look like anything like we have seen on internet. It was too early to receive new customers. We do however also have to say that Nada did her best to give us a warm welcome. We also received a financial compensation when we complained about the situation. The region however is beautiful and is not to miss! 

Not what we expected

I booked the resort in May for August because I wanted a place immersed in nature and with a wide selection of trekking offered by them.....so we share the same strong reservation and the series of emails we were sent (except for the last one) and having a good restaurant after a day of trekking. All this I couldn't enjoy! In the booking I was given the number of a certain Mr. Lim who would have thought of my transfer from Battambang directly to Koh Kong.

Weird management, incompetence

book here if you want to receive an email 2 days before arrival where Lisa Crosley writes: the room you booked (riverfront deluxe) unfortunately causes a very violent storm that destroyed everything and happened 2 months ago I'm not ready. they offer two worse. also I'm sorry but the same cause the restaurant doesn't work. of the series come here and arrange. they don't tell you don't worry we take you with the car to breakfast or dinner (we are km away from everything). we also asked for help to move from one city to another but we are provided the name of a person with a cell phone that does not exist. we wrote about it but Lisa responds in a very contradictory way. x get clear we have made our phone calls to the hotel from the results of their email but then we do not enter the results in the email or email. so if you are not doing this, you will not be able to do it.

Unreliable - bitter surprise.

Woman staff is very friendly and helpful. 
The place located by the river which is very quite.
We rented motorcycle there to go around the city, cost 350 baht, crossing the bridge cost 1,400 Riel.
From hotel to Thai border, the hotel delivered by motorcycle which cost 150 baht.
At Koh Kong, most restaurants, hotel, stores accept Thai baht and US dollar.

Friendly staff

Loved our stay at Thmorda in the deluxe river view room. The sunrise from the river is stunning, and it's a quiet location away from the main road. We stayed two nights on our way from Thailand to Phnom Penh. The hotel is close to the border crossing, so it's a good place to stay if you're just exiting Thailand. It is not walking distance to Koh Kong town, but there is almost nothing to do in town anyway. The hotel provides a tuk tuk driver who can take you anywhere for reasonable rates. The ride to our bus station was free. 

The room was clean, except the occasional mosquito, which is a given at a riverfront in Southeast Asia. A/C was great. When we were there, the owner Lisa was on vacation, so we didn't get very much information about treks, etc as the rest of the staff spoke almost no English. But they were all very lovely people, and the food they prepared was incredible! We've long since moved on and have been in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, and I would still say the food we had at Thmorda was the best in Cambodia. The staff offered to call Lisa anytime we needed anything that they couldn't help us with, but we never ended up having to. Per the advice of the couple staying next door, we hopped on a day trip to Koh Kong island and the mangroves walk, which was just beautiful, and I believe when the owner is there, the hotel can easily arrange this for you.

Beautiful River Location

We spent five nights in Thmorda Garden. When we first arrived it was difficult because no one really spoke English. But we had already read here that Lisa speaks English. After a little bit we were handed a phone at the house where Lisa was. Okay, the owner was on a business trip. The first time the non-existent English knowledge of the staff turned out to be half as wild as it really was. They all worked really hard. The food is also absolutely top-notch. And the laundry service has worked super well. The atmosphere at the facility is also very super-cool, especially at sunrise and on the staircase at the Flare restaurant. Really.

Very nice and a little funny

We stayed a long weekend at Thmorda and it was great. We were lucky to have gotten the riverfront rooms. It's closer to the deck - though one can enjoy the riverfront from the porch itself. It's a bit distant from Koh Kong town, but there is nothing much to do in the town anyway. The host Lisa was excellent- from guiding us to the hotel to arranging for bus tickets, scooters and ensuring we got good vegetarian meals. They also offer free pick-up and drop services to the town, which is very handy as it could cost up to $6 each way. The food and drinks were not only good but also reasonably priced, unlike many remote resorts who take advantage of the lack of options. Happy to recommend Thmorda- you won't regret it, and hope to be back sometime!

Excellent!

Four days at the Thmorda Garden Riverside Resort... Super! A region not too touristy... and the cherry on the cake is the resort, set up by Lisa. A wonderful woman who loves her business. When you love, you don't count, Lisa and her staff have brought us the sweetness, zeal and service to live up to the decor in which they lived. Thank you also to Petra and Vincent for their temporary role as public relations. A fantastic young couple. What to say... a region to explore, rivers, waterfalls, islands, mangroves is all there for the fun of it. After visits organized by Lisa, we sit down... we enjoy the bar... salons and a kitchen that is like must-have in our eyes.
