228 reviewsOur stay at the eOcambo was very enjoyable, the courtyard and pool area were filled with bright green plants and vegetation, making it feel as though we were staying in the jungle. The air conditioning in our room was delightfully refreshing and the staff was polite and attentive to our every need. I felt the same way I felt when I first went to Thailand 50 years ago. You should know this building has no elevator. If you don’t have strong legs, be sure to request a room on the ground floor. The free breakfast is as good as any I have had anywhere in the world, and the service unparalleled. The building itself is like a restored mansion, with rich, solid wood railings, tables, chairs, beds and slate floors throughout the hotel. The only reason I give it 4.5 stars and not 5.0 stars is that we were not offered a ground floor room and had difficulty getting to the second floor, as we are in our mid 70’s. The value per room charge is outstanding.
