I really enjoy with the time at Lakeside boutique, Angkor Wat temple is 8km from boutique, old market and pub street is 2.5km. I like quiet atmosphere, I love the fresh air at the countryside. Dirogen Love

My wife and I stayed at the villa for 4 days with friends and were very impressed. A little nervous in the tuktuk on the way when we headed down a dirt track until we seen the impressive building. The Villa itself is really nicely presented, tastefully decorated, beautiful pool & sun-baking area to chill out during the day, bar, TV room, and the rooms we’re by far the most comfortable we had in Asia.
The staff were amazing and showed us the sights, nothing was too much trouble. Pub street and all the action is only a very short tuk tuk drive away but the Villa is far enough away from the action to be peaceful. All in all, would highly recommend!

I highly recomend this guesthouse if you enjoy a clean quiet room for a fair price. The owners Deb & Roy made sure to accommodate us with everything we needed when staying with them. A friend of mine & myself stayed with them while volunteering with thier NGO building houses for under privlaged families in the area. Not only do they run a quality villa, but give back to the local community,  they really have hearts of gold. I had my friends who were arriving later from California & China stay there while we volunteered as well, we all were impressed by the treatment we recived. They arranged for airport pickup & tours of the temples at a very reasonable price for our friends, while we volunteered durring the days. Afterwords we all enjoyed the beautiful pool together & ate great meals poolside durring the evening. In my opinion, its the perfect distance from downtown. It really makes you feel like your out of the city, but you can be on pub street or night market in under 5 minutes in a tuktuk. They will always arrange a ride for you downtown as well. Durring my 9 weeks of travel through Thailand, Cambodia & Laos, this was my favorite place I stayed. I felt like part of thier family the whole time & everyone of thier recommendations about the city exceeded my expectations. I will definitely stay here again & cant speak highly enough about how I was treated durring my stay with them, I will never forget them, thanks for everything.

Lakeside boutique view hotel is run by a very friendly lady from Australia. She is always smiling and ready to give u advice about Siem Reap or book a guide or tuk tuk. Hotel.got a very nice swimming pool and breakfast outdoor area. Its very quiet at night which is good and also bad. Its far from city centre, 10min by tuk tuk and some drivers can't find it. The roads around the hotel are gravel and I can imagine very hard to access in rainy season. But overall great experience if u looking for quiet retreat after all day exploring Angkor temples. Party crowd look elsewhere.

Lovely boutique

My first impression in arriving in Lakeside Boutique Villa has not been very good : Not so nice buiding (more than a house) in the middle of ponds... Rooms are ok, but nothing exceptional... According to me, being far from city center is ok if you are in a nice garden and/or beautiful view. Lakeside, is none of both! We almost decided to move from this hotel...but the team and the manager are very nice, welcoming, helpful! At the end of the stay we had the feeling to be in our family and enjoyed staying next to the pool in a calm atmosphere. 
Good and cheap food. 
Walk to city is very long... You need to take tuk tuk, which is a 5/10 minutes drive.
