We stayed for 2 weeks here, in a second floor studio —clean, spacious and comfortable, a perfect retreat after marching around temples and the pounding noise of Pub Street. It’s. Close enough to the busy section of town for restaurants and shops, and far enough so you have peace and quiet among trees, and a pool for a refreshing dip. There’s Pagoda Cafe downstairs (the restaurant was in construction) which serves local and some western dishes, and is open till 7pm- our favorite spot for breakfast and the endless fun of watching locals go by. People are so nice, helpful and kind. There is a small temple behind the lodge with a beautiful roof that you can see from the lodge, and some days there was music and chanting in the air. This is a lovely place if you enjoy peace and quiet, and want to get a sense of daily life in Siem Reap. Mr. phalla had a tuktuk for our temple visits, and rides to the airport. We totally recommend The Orientation Lodge, and thank Mr. Phalla for our stay.
