La Rose Suites

This hotel is one of the most charming hotels I have ever stayed in. We booked four nights, as part of a package, so we could enjoy a rest after touring all over Vietnam and Cambodia and we really did feel so well rested after our stay. Our room was large and very comfortable with a four poster bed. There was a lovely sitting area and fruit on the coffee table at our arrival. There was a huge granite bath in the spacious bathroom with a walk in shower which was a good size too! The pool across the road from the main hotel was lovely. It was very relaxing with a fountain and so the sound of constant running water added to the tranquility! Service from the bar - food and drink was available at poolside. The restaurant where we dined one night, which was also across the road, served a very good choice of both Cambodian and Western food. It was all delicious! Breakfast was served in the breakfast room in the main hotel and was cooked fresh to order. This was also very good! There was an excellent spa with very professional therapists - I had a facial, Thai massage and foot massage - wonderful! My husband had a massage 2 days in a row! The best thing about this hotel, is the staff! I have never experienced such a warmth and attention to detail! Every time you arrived back after exploring the city, the staff were there to greet you and hand you cold flannels. Sreypich did a wonderful job ensuring that our stay was perfect. ALL the staff were excellent, from those in the restaurant, pool, bar, spa, lobby, reception, housekeeping, and the porter outside. A combination of lovely, friendly Cambodian personalities and a very high level of staff training, makes any visit to this hotel a very special experience indeed.
