Nam Nam Guesthouse

Changed accommodation while on the island to Nam Nam as it was cheaper. Room was huge and clean, on the main strip but quiet enough to sleep at night. Great value for money! Remember people it is island accommodation at very cheap rates not a 5star hotel!

Better than expected

We booked a private room for 10$ a night with double bed. Although the building was pretty new (1 year), don't expect too much. The room was small and clean, but didn't have a mosquitoes net, WiFi, toilet paper, and warm water.

The location of the new Nam Nam guesthouse was good, 10 meters from the beach. You can also eat at their place. We had breakfast once and that was okay. The owners are also nice and will gladly provide you with information and help you.

I booked around eight weeks in advance my stay at Nam Nam Guesthouse on Koh Rong island with booking.com.
The moment the booking is done, Nam Nam Guesthouse receives this booking from booking.com.

But when I arrived I was told that I am already the second person that day (New Years Eve) who has a booking but won't have a room for tonight. They didn't apologize at all, didn't offer any help and didn't even offer to watch my bags while I look for an alternative. They just said "It's not our problem" and sent me away.

I can't tell anything about the rooms. But from my point of view, I would not recommend to book here or even to stay here one night when you are already on the island.

The owners (foreigner) are arrogant and unfriendly. I can even imagine that they try to trick you, once you are staying there.
