Green Rooms

We have been one night in this hostel and we loved it. The room was spacious - very spacious actually - the staff was very very attentive and performing, the manager, stefan, listened to all our requests and helped us as much as he could. He booked a taxi for us, took us to the bank to help us exchange the money, translated the whole menu for us - they still have it in bulgarian, but they will translate it. The hostel has rooms on the first floor - wifi works well - and a beautiful bistro under, which also has a terrace with view on batenberg street, the main street in the center. The location is perfect, you step outside and you find yourself already in the main street, 10 metres from the beautiful mosque and 50 metres from the roman theatre's excavations. Behind the hotel you the steep street that takes you to the old town - also very close, on the hill right behind. All around the hotel you have a thousand places where you can eat, especially street food, and also some supermarkets - billa is the biggest - and lots of bars. The breakfast was included in the price and it was delicious - the best toasted bread with yummi jam and the best italian coffee i've er tried outside of italy - and we are very spoiled about food and coffee... If we come back to plovdiv - which is a place not to miss, much better than the scary sofia - we will definitely come back to this hotel, no doubt! Book directly for a better rate, the prices are inflated on the booking engines...
