Hotel Prestige

I stayed in the Hotel Prestige in September 2012. I had stayed here 3 times previously, in 2006,2008 and 2010. The hotel is in a fairly quiet road, although in peak times it is used as a 'rat run' to avoid the 'Sea Garden' road traffic. The rooms are very clean and tidy although this visit saw me living in their annex at the rear of the property. i had no problem with this as it is really quiet and relaxing. The restaurant serves breakfast at €3 but it is good value and a nice way to start the day. The evening meal menu is fairly 'local' with many Bulgarian favourites, but also mainstream European choices. They have a very good selection of wines...from very affordable to Oh my God...how much did I spend!!! The Hotel Prestige is a fairly relaxed place with a very small patio outside, which although only faces a car yard and the rather busy road, is still a nice spot to sit and read the paper and drink a coffee or cold beer. The staff are all very young and it gives the hotel a feeling of youthfulness and non-formality...which is a very pleasant change from some of the more formal hotels in the city. The hotel is pretty popular with young couples and families, and the restaurant attracts many locals in the evening. They are always willing to negotiate on room prices for extended stays, but in general a price of 50 BLV aroom per night is the norm. I would recommend the Prestige as a decent, reasonably situated hotel, with bus services only a short walk away and taxis always available through reception. From the Prestige the Sea Gardens are less than a 10 minute walk and the city is only a 5 minute bus ride.
