It took us 7 minutes to trot to the ski hire shop in town when we were running late and did not want to wait for the shuttle - but it is all downhill. Catalin the Restaurant Manageress was just lovely. She did so many things to make the holiday perfect. All the staff are fantastic which makes it a great atmosphere. The rooms are basic like your Nan's house in the 70's, but clean, new towels every day and a lovely hard bed. Went to the spa and loved the sauna and bucket of cold water. Didn't bother with thecold pool, but they do offer free shuttle to the fresh springs. Breakfast was fine, if you wanted carbs or just cheese and toast, not full English though you can make your own version of it. Coffee machine was great. We were lucky and on 4th floor so views were lovely, but it was all great. Catalin booked our taxi back and he was the best, arrived 15 minutes early. The one she arranged to collect us from the airport was late and as called Mario thought he could drive like him too. Take lots of cash to pay for the taxi and shuttle in town if you do not want to wait for the gondola.
