We have stayed at Hotel Bergblick twice and both times were perfectly wonderful. The owners are warm, friendly, and accommodating (on our last trip, we brought our cat along because he needed to be given medication and we couldn't leave him behind). The colonial breakfast is so delicious; fresh, homemade bread and German pastries, homemade jams, sausages and cheese, a huge spread of fresh fruits, yogurt, granola, and delicious coffee. We travel with our two rambunctious toddlers, and found that despite their messy/noisy ways, we were treated with kindness and patience. The rooms are large with gorgeous views of the Pomerode countryside. We had an amazing, large jacuzzi tub in our room (the kids LOVED it!). Behind the hotel is a beautiful garden where they grow fresh berries, lettuce and herbs. The owner makes her own jams/jellies, which I strongly recommend you to buy! They are fantastic! I will ALWAYS stay at Hotel Bergblick anytime we visit Pomerode/Blumenau. This place is a gem.
