67 reviewsOur stay at Pousada Estalagem Paraty was great. Our room was comfortable - spacious, A/C and fan, nice bathroom. The pousada is surrounded by greenery in a nice and quiet suburban part of Paraty. The pool was super nice to cool off and relax, and the open dining area nice to relax in. Breakfast is FANTASTIC and plentiful. Our hosts were so lovely that despite our obvious language gaps they offered us a lift to the bus station the day we were leaving. Wifi worked well in our room and excellent when in the dining area. Highly recommend staying at Pousada Estalagem Paraty. The card I reserved the room with was charged in full prior to our arrival. I was unaware that this was going to happen - it was the first time it had happened, using booking.com travelling throughout South America, but subsequently my card has been pre-charged from other accomodation in Brazil so seems to be the norm in this country. The pousada is about a 20-25 minute walk from the centre/old town of Paraty. Its a nice walk along the river, however we only wanted to attempt once or twice a day! They do offer bikes however. If you have a car, no problem!
