Casa Coco Verde - Pousada & Hostel

This hostel is perfect when staying in Jeri. It is very close to the main street and the beach, however, there are some hostels closer. The hostel itself offers hammocks and a relaxing space where it is easy to meet new people. I travelled on my own and when I arrived I immediately met new people. Furthermore, the breakfast is very good, but it starts a bit late (8.30 in the morning). The bathrooms are spacious and the shower is nice as well. Also, the owner is very helpful, as well as the volunteers who are working there temporarily. Definitely recommend it!

I stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend in December 2014.
Angela, the German owner, is super friendly and the atmosphere in the hostel is very laid back.
We stayed in a private room and it was clean and spacey, but I had the chance to check out the dorms and they looked very nice as well.
The breakfast is rich and tasty, with a wide choice of salty and sweet food.
Coco Verde is located on a very quiet part of Jericoacoara, 5 min walking from the roads with restaurants and bars.
Negative sides: wifi was working 50% of the time and every door lock is old so it takes 5 or 6 times to open it at first try.
The environment is friendly for every kind of travelers.
I recommend Coco Verde, a good accommodation for a Jeri journey.

best hostel i stayed so far

If you are looking for something chap, Jericocoara is not your place. However, Coco Verde is one of the cheapest.
Really nice common areas, with a large table where you can share your breakfast with other guests. The breakfast itself it quite good. Not much variety if you stay long, but you can get almost everything ( fruit, ham, chesse, bread, some sweet stuff, coffe/tea). Trust me , better breakfast than in most of the properties at this category.
There dorms , clean and big enough. A bit crowded some times. Hence, there are also , some private rooms where you can stay if you are looking for something more on your own

Nice hostel in Jeri

I stayed three nights in this hostel in a private room.

Probably the price is a bit high, as the furniture is really poor. 
When I get into the room, the bed linen was not yet on the mattress, so I could see the mattress. It would have been not look at it. There were many extended stains. 
There is no chance to get warm water during the shower.

The breakfast was not comparable with other hostels. There were flyes everywhere and there was not so much to eat. The kitchen could be much more clean in compare to what it was.

The private room are anyway pretty big, divided in two rooms and there is a balcony, that helps a lot to dry clothes and towels. It is good to relax as well. 
There are cats a one dog that make you comfortable and happy there. The dog is wonderful.

Jericoacoara vacation

We booked four nights at Casa Coco Verde, starting on December 19th, 2014. We checked in without issue and went out to explore Jeri. When we returned, the police were at the front gate. We went to our room and within minutes there was a knock on the door. The man at the door told us that he was the owner of the hostel, and that Angela - the manager - was being evicted. He told us we had two options, we could stay the night and then "renegotiate" our rate in the morning, or we had to leave immediately. We had already paid for the four nights in cash. When we told him this, he said it was not his concern, and that we would have to pay again to stay. We left immediately. It seemed like a really cool place, and we were very excited to stay with Angela and her staff. Unfortunately last night things seemed to take a turn for the worse, and we feel badly for anyone who will be arriving moving forward under the owners management.
