Pousada e Hostel Âncora

My friend and I stayed here for 4 days this month and were really really pleased with the whole experience. The owners are a couple who are so keen to look after you and make sure that you have everything that you need. On arrival we were shown to our room which suited our needs perfectly and were given a bowl of fruit, some snacks and drinks to make sure that we recovered from our journey. The Pousada has a well kept pool and hot tub and a patio and balconies where you can relax and unwind. We were just a short walk from Barra da Lagoa beach and happily wandered around the town feeling safe. The bus stop serving Lagoa da Conceicao (about 15mins away) was right outside the front door so we never got lost. Praia da Mole was close by and there were numerous shops, bars and restaurants to serve our needs. having said that, the Pousada was the perfect distance away as we could reach them when we wnated to but never heard them while we relaxed or slept. I forgot some things when leaving the Pousada and the owners happily sent them on to me straightaway. They are wonderful and welcoming people.
