The category of pousadas comes with a lot of simplicity and just basic accommodations. All that is true for Pousada do Bita as well. However, Jaqueline was so warm, hospitable, patient and understanding (notwithstanding the language barrier) that we felt very much at home, surrounded by comfort, care and a lot of fun in this paradise. Great location of the pousada was a definite plus with restaurants and supermarkets near by. Our room was simple but tidy, with a shower and a small fridge. The bed sheets were crispy clean. The air conditioner worked very well. The afternoon tea was a nice touch. There is a small surcharge for the towel replacement. Also, you need to bring your own shampoo and soap. The walls (at least in the room #5) were not exactly sound proof - in fact, not at all. But it added to the informal, family-like atmosphere, so we did not even mind that. Nice porch to relax and chat with other guests.
