Stayed here during the World Cup. I am a journalist, so it was great having the Mineirao walking distance from where I was staying. The location is great, very safe. You have the Pampulha lagoon right in front of the hostal, so its a great morning view. In the other side of the lagoon, you have good restaurants. Its a bit far from the city center, but I think the safe and beatiful location is worth the taxi ride to the center. Staff is great, always helpful, and talk a variety of languages. You have a sushi and bar restaurant just a few steps down the hostal, and Gui and Celle are wonderful hosts there. Overall, my time at Fino da Bola Hostal was one of the best during the 38 days I was moving around in Brasil.
