If you don’t fancy big hotels or luxurious lodges but prefer the cosy environment of a guest house set in a beautiful environment, definitely this is your place. Very clean detached units or bungalows near the river banks, equipped with basic furniture, hide unexpected facilities which go from air conditioning to a tv-set with a huge choice of international channels. A special mention needs to be reserved to the delicious food served here and the kindness of the owners and the staff. All that at a very affordable price!

This is a great spot to overnight on your way through the Caprivi Strip. Nice campsite under the trees on the banks of the river. Clean ablutions as well. Free Wifi available. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Very simple rooms; the Airconditioning in the room was not working. Staff told me there was no other room with A/C available, although I was one of only few guests, if not the only one. Also there is no breakfast nor Roomservice available - actually they did not know what I‘m talking about.

Camping on the banks of the Okavango River

Very basic accommodation only

We chose to stay at Divundu Guest House for an overnighter on our way across the Caprivi Strip as other options were well above our budget. Our ensuite bungalow was smallish but clean and very quiet. I found my twin bed rather too narrow but was grateful for the option of aircon or use of a mosquito net.
There was a large choice of meals on the dinner menu and breakfast was good.
The owner, Peter a Canadian, was friendly and helpful and is expanding the accommodation available.
Signposting when travelling east from the Rundu area was good - look to the left hand side of the road and you will see big printing on a white wall to direct you to the Guest House.
My photos are not the greatest but I noticed that Trip Advisor was asking for some, so I have attached two.

Does the job for an overnight stay

From the reviews, looks like you should book the bungalows :)

The room was clean, and very adequate. Small fridge, TV, working air con! We didn't pre-book, so it was a pleasant surprise to find something this good at such short notice. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Very nice budget accommodation

On our way from Rundu we use internet to find a place at Divundu. The pictures was nice , but on arrival the ablutions at the camping site was not clean. The reception was warm and nice. If there is no other options then it is not bad to stay over in the rooms.

Bad surprise

Accommodation consists of single rooms for backpackers with shared ablutions, as well as several separate self-catering chalets with own bathrooms. We stayed in a self-catering chalet which was clean and comfortable. Quite adequate.

On the Okavango River

Place is fine for a stopover to Caprivi or Etosha (depending on the direction). All is rather average: accommodation, food, service. Since reception area is far from the accommodation, it is not easy to get attention from the staff, dreading the walk during the hot hours of the day.
