We arrived here after a long bus ride from Cusco. We were welcomed warmly from the family. The wifi was strong however got turned off at night. Not too sure why. The breakfast was basic. But being included with our nights stay there is nothing really to complain about. The hot water takes a bit of heating up, however speaking to others who stayed in the area we were lucky to have hot water! The elder lady who worked there was absolutely lovely. She made us feel really at home. 

the hostel is run by an old couple and they ate just really sweet, helpful and always cheerful and ready to talk. They made us feel like at home. They also didn't make any problems when we changed our reservation. The WiFi is really good.

Tip 1 - don't bother going to Copacabana especially if you've already visited Puno in Peru. 

Tip 2 - if you've ignored tip 1 then don't stay in this hostel. 

It is centrally located in Copacabana and the owners seemed nice but there are just way too many rules. Examples - no plugging in of electrical appliances, main door locks at 10.30pm so you're sleeping on the street after that. One of the worst breakfasts we have ever had. Showers needed to be cleaned. There are not many choices in this town but I don't think it's fair to charge the prices that this hostel charge and give such a poor service. 

Lots of rules, like a convent!

We booked this place via booking.com and arrived at the property to a lovely jovial owner who made us feel right at home . We went up to our room which had a  ' city view ' of the shop opposite and was on the main road ( very loud )  . The room was rather worn and not worth $20 dollars a night . Having been carrying 3 heavy bags , I put 1 small bag on the bed to relieve weight and instantly got a request to take it off the bed by the owners wife . I'm sure worse things have been on that bed but I politely complied . Our attention was then turned to the signs on the bedroom wall which read that no food or drink were to be  consumed in the room ( which were acceptable to an extent ) but it was also prohibited to use electrical items in the room as well . So unable to eat , drink or charge our electrical items and there was a 10.30pm curfew  ... The place soon turned into not feeling right at home . We had explained to the owner that the place was not as described as on the Internet and that we may potentially leave as it was very restrictive as a young couple . He agreed we could leave our bags and it was not a problem to find somewhere more suitable  . ... So we thought .. 

It all turned very sour very quickly with this couple after I needed to used the communal toilet ( after a very long bus journey ) with my own toilet tissue ( may I add ) . In fact the previously nice owner tried to stop me from entering the toilet and said I must pay a boliviano . At this point we hadn't checked out or confirmed any plans to leave, so he had no right to stop me ( and I'm a human being ) . We had just expressed we MAY leave as the restrictions were not made clear on bookings.com . Anywho , It all ended in a lot of hissing from the owner , yes hissing ... And we left . Understandably .. 

On the plus side , the internet is good as it is an Internet cafe also  ;)

If you like too many rules and regulations and liked to be locked in at night... Stay here !

I need to inform you of the terrible experience we had last night at this property. The rooms are basic and the bathrooms dirty, with no hot water and the shower was literally a trickle. But the problems started at about 9pm when the loudest concert started played literally 100 feet away from the hostel. The bedroom windows and doors were shaking it was so loud and the went on until 3:30am. We were not informed of this in any way when we arrived and were told that it would be a quiet nights sleep. Yesterday was a fiesta day, so the hostel would have known full well that there would have been noise so they straight out lied to us. After getting no sleep we went downstairs to check out and deciding that we would not pay full price as we were lied to and not informed of the noise. When I informed them of this, the lady grabbed my bag from me fiercely and locked it in a cupboard then tried to force my phone and money from my hands. She literally was fighting me. Luckily my boyfriend arrived to force her off me. Then they called the police and locked us in a room until they was no hope for us but to pay the full amount. I implore you to not go anywhere near this place. If I was travelling alone I do not know what I would have done. Horrific experience.
