The stay there was amazing. Fresh baked buns every morning, Couldnt ask for nicer people, excellent food! Rooms are super clean and they make your stay incredible. I will be going back there in the future.

What a treasure this place is! The unique cabanas are meticulously kept, the beds soft and comfortable, ceiling fans for a breeze. Gorgeous gardens filled with local plants, flowers, and fruit trees. A large deck overlooking the river and a wonderful palapa with hammocks to relax in. A staircase directly down to the river...so refreshing in the jungle heat and humidity! The new owners have worked hard to fix this place up (twice! due to last year's hurricane and subsequent flooding) and it shows that it has been a labor of love! For floating the river, they have tubes that you can borrow (for free) and they will even drive you up the road to good put-in spots (again, for free). They say it's all just part of their service. The food was amazing! They make their pizza from scratch (the crust was delicious!) as well as their burgers (with homemade bread). Breakfast was plentiful with french toast, eggs, bacon, yogurt, fresh fruit, and juice. They even keep a refrigerator stocked with beer and soda for their guests, sold at the same price you'd find it for in the store down the road. And they let us use the refrigerator to store some of our items. They have truly thought of every little detail to make their guests as comfortable as possible, even providing ear plugs due to the (normal for Belize) noises of the jungle, churches, and motor traffic. And all of this for an extremely reasonable price.

A few (very picky) details I might change:
-The ceiling fan's highest setting barely created a breeze. A stronger fan would have been nice.
-The sheer curtains help keep air flowing in from the windows, but their pale color does little to block the view into the room at night when the lights are on. Fortunately they are doing a good job of creating a privacy screen out of plants in the garden.
- They insist upon cleaning the room daily, including changing of all towels. We are a very eco-minded family and prefer that our linens only be laundered after a few days of use. We tried to explain this to our hosts, but they continued to change out our towels daily. But, at least you know the place is clean!
- The tubes for floating the river look nice at first, large and covered in a tough canvas for protection. However, the canvas provides a solid bottom to the tube, making it impossible to hang your body through the hole. This made it harder to get in and out of, forced a fairly uncomfortable position for riding on, and made it very difficult to change position on. I certainly understand the need to protect the tubes from the rocks and sticks, but because of the style of the tubes we were ready to finish our float so we could stretch and get more comfortable.

Overall, however, a beautiful relaxing place to feel pampered on a budget!

Great stay at the Iguana Junction. The owners were amazing and welcoming. I traveled solo and they were very nice. They also gave me tips to travel on my own. Had fun tubing in the river and they gave me the tubes there. Clean facilities and the neighbors were fun. They gave me a tour in a horse, of course I paid for it butt such an incredible vacation.

Chantal and Wiet were the perfect hosts at Iguana Junction.  It was the best Christmas I have had in a long time.  Due to circumstances beyond our control our original plans of staying with friends did not work out.  Instead we stayed at Iguana Junction, made new friends had a great holiday and I can't wait to get back to Bullet Tree Falls and visit with Chantal and Wiet again!

The Iguana Junction is now called the Iguana Yard. We stayed in 6 or 7 different places while travelling around Belize, and the Iguana Yard was by far the best. The grounds were gorgeous. Since the Iguana Yard got new owners, everything has been renovated and is brand new. It was an incredible bargain too. The hosts are the kindest people. The grounds overlook the Mopan River, and they have inter-tubes for guests to use! Words dont do it justice, check out the pics! I wish I could give this place 10 stars!

Beautiful place but very simple with no tv or air conditioner but did come with a ceiling fan and 2 floor fans that we were able to use all 3 in one room. Came with a kitchen and coffee pot, stove & fridge  but no microwave
