Matachica Resort & Spa - Adults Only

This resort is incredible!! My husband and I travel around the world and rarely stay at the same place twice. This was our first time here, and we will definitely come back!The staff went above and beyond in every interaction to make our stay the most memorable, including keeping the kitchen open an extra hour one night to accommodate our schedule getting back to the resort.I’m a big foodie, and the food and drinks are excellent - super fresh ingredients and high-quality preparations. We went to a few restaurants around the island (which were the highest rated), and the meals at Matachica far outshined those. The property is beautiful and a pleasure to relax at. The individual casitas give a feeling of remoteness - while still having 5 star amenities. We were there during the windy/seaweed season, and the resort organized other activities to seaweed-free beaches, including a boat ride to Caye Caulker and a car ride to Secret Beach. What a wonderful addition and great way to explore other areas! (I would also highly recommend renting a golf cart to explore on your own.)I would highly recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Ambergris Caye!!
