We just enjoyed a wonderful week at Sundiver for a wedding with friends and family. The location is ideal on Ambergris - a short golf cart ride everywhere but removed from the crowds of San Pedro. The staff of Sundiver is truly phenomenal – from Carlos at the bar remembering everyone’s name and favorite drink, to Lupita taking care of our every need. 

The day of the wedding you could tell how invested the staff is in making sure everything went perfectly. They were able to decorate the beach beautifully (despite the wind) and really made the event special. 

If you are traveling with a group, I couldn’t more highly recommend Sundiver. By reserving the entire complex you are able to enjoy wonderful local cuisine, days at the beach and pool, and nights at the bar that will be truly memorable!

We just got back from a week at Sundiver Beach Resort for our wedding – party of 22. The whole week was incredible! The staff, especially Miss Lupita, Nikole, and Carlos the bartender, were so friendly and welcoming. They did everything they could to make sure the whole week and wedding day went smoothly. Nikole answered all of my emails ( and there were A LOT) quickly and helped make sure we all knew what to expect before, during, and after the trip. Miss Lupita did a great job coordinating our excursions, managing our meal schedules, and making sure everyone was taken care of. The property itself is lovely. The pool area is clean and relaxing and there’s lots of fun water floats, corn hole, and lots of lounge chairs. Carlos at the bar makes delicious drinks and the food was very popular as well. I would highly recommend the Sundiver for anyone doing a big family reunion, or a wedding party, or even just a friends/couples vacation. They go out of their way to make it unforgettable!

If you are looking for tranquility with gorgeous views, this is the place.   If you are looking for scuba and snorkeling, you can catch a boat right at the dock.  If you are looking for some sun, you will find that too!   The staff is awesome and always available.  The fresh fruit smoothies at the Bar are amazing.  This place is even better when you bring your friends and family.  Highly recommend Sundiver Beach Resort.

Amazing experience and lovely hospitality.  Staff made our anniversary extra special with attention to details. Staff is also very accommodating and helpful to inquiries about the area. The quiet area provides privacy and serenity. Would definitely go again! Thanks for making our trip exceptional!

We stayed here with a very large group, about 30 people, and it was a blast. The kids were able to swim in the ocean, pool and jump off the dock. There was seaweed that would come in to the shore overnight but they had a guy that would rake it and the beach was clean when we woke up. Everything is included and the bartender would make all the kids endless supplies of smoothies. Golf carts were available for all of us to drive into town and explore. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The service was amazing! The food is the best on the island and the view is breathtaking! It is an authentic rustic Belizean resort, which is the best way to have the true Belize experience!  We love the staff and everything about it. 

We had a group of us stay at Sundiver Beach resort two weeks ago. It was a fantastic stay. Mr. Carlos was amazing as always. Miss Lupita attended to our every need. Food of course was the best on the island. Everything is home made and fresh. The Chefs were amazing and fed us at some real odd times. The care takers had the resort and especially the beach so clean. And the rooms were clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this resort. Put your small group together and enjoy a week in paradise. You will not be disappointed.

Sundiver Beach Resort is by far the funnest, most relaxing and best vacation place ever. We rented out the whole resort where we had a private bartender, breakfast, lunch and dinner included, the staff was absolutely amazing, Carlos the bartender, is someone that makes everybody want to come back again. I would recommend this place over anywhere else for the best vacation ever. hands-down an amazing place that you want to rebook and come back often.

I have stayed here multiple times and have sent numerous people to Sun Diver, I know Brain and Mary will always go out of their way to make things perfect for mine or any one else’s trip! Carlos is a rockstar Bartender and Ms. L and the awesome ladies in the kitchen are amazing! The guys behind the scenes are amazing as well!!
I love this place and consider them Family, one stay here and you will agree as well!!

In short, our trip to the Sundiver Beach Resort far exceeded our expectations!  Even before we arrived Mary would respond via email to any and all questions asked by our group.  She even provided us with helpful information that we didn't even think to ask!  Thank you, Mary!  The resort helped us in advance with our flight arrangements from Belize City to San Pedro on Tropic Air, and when we arrived Brian was eagerly waiting for us!  And, he had a taxi waiting to whisk us away to the Sundiver!  When we arrived at the resort Mary met us and provided us with our room and all the information we would need to know for the week ahead.  At the bar Carlos was waiting to provide us with the first of many tropical cocktails that would be consumed over the next 6 days!   We loved hanging out with and getting to know Carlos!  Brian, Mary, Lupita, Carlos, and the rest of the staff provided exemplary customer service while we were there; better than many five star resorts we’ve stayed in!  Breakfast, lunch and dinner were amazing!  The grounds were meticulously cared for, and our room was refreshed with new towels provided daily.  If you were looking to go diving, snorkeling, on an excursion, or just enjoy a relaxing massage, the staff would make it happen!  All of this, and the fact that we had this resort reserved for our group alone, made this an experience that I doubt will ever be matched!  The week that we spent with old and new friends, arranged by our dear and generous friend Nate, will go down as one of our most special times ever!!  If you have the opportunity to book the Sundiver Beach Resort for you and your friends/family, don’t pass it up!  The experience and service that was provided by Brian, Mary and their team was excellent!  We would return to this property tomorrow if we could!

Reunion With Friends

I will tell you, I didn't stay here, but not because I didn't want to. We were at another hotel and not happy with accommodations. We stopped in his beach bar for a beer and ran into the owner on the beach with his dogs and started chatting. He was already booked, but spent time and effort helping us find other accommodations. We will book with them ahead of time when we go back. Incredible that an almost stranger would go out of their way to help when there was no benefit to him. Thanks Brian!!!

Spectacular spring break beach vacation! Brian and staff were tremendous, and helped make our stay extra special. Extremely prompt answering questions prior to our arrival, and coordinated a series of amazing excursions (including mainland, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, and much more). 5 families with a total of 23 people (10 adults and 13 children ranging ages 7 to 16). 
Only word of caution (had nothing to do with Sundiver Beach Resort), be careful of aggressive porters upon arrival to Belize City. We weren’t prepared and got snookered for a hefty penny to have our bags moved 25 yards to the next check-in area. This is something we came across a couple other times, including our visit to Secret Beach. However, Secret Beach is worthy of a definite visit.
Brain informed us that very few groups with children visit Sundiver Beach Resort, and we’re not sure why that’s the case. Sundiver is an excellent destination for a large group/family with children!
Our group felt that Brian’s resort provides a high-quality and affordable vacation destination for large groups.
