The apartment was right in the middle of Belize City I was able to walk to the water taxi which was my goal for renting there

Super cute with great service! The people who run the place are so kind and helpful. We had delicious breakfast in the morning.

High recommend,the owner was friendly and nice .the room was super clean stuffed with clean towels which is I like .my daughter was hungry and the owner offered her banana and small snack .would like to visit again .thank you 😊

Wonderful inn! The room was clean and well-kept, the in itself was beautiful, and the staff was amazing! So thoughtful and kind and wonderfully helpful for restaurants and sights. Definitely will go back.

This is a great value for the price! The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was yummy and the location is great - close to the bus station and water taxi terminal.

The manager was friendly and caring and the room was clean

All of the employees who work here are amazing!! For Independence Day, they had a bbq and gave out free food to the community. They also helped me get food delivered to the location, when nothing walking distance was open. There is a place here where you can fill your water for free, which is really awesome!

Excellent value for the price! Friendly staff. We arrived a little bit late on a holiday weekend and restaurants were closed. The receptionist ordered a pizza for us to be delivered. Nice dining area and even a shared kitchen.  Easy walking to everything in town.  Television did not work, but it was too late in the evening to ask for help. The next day they said they would fix it but we were leaving that time.

Last weekend I stayed at Coningsby for a couples of days during my most recent trip to Belize. The property manager Janet was a very good and pleasant hostess. She informed me about available restaurants in the area and even offered to pickup my Chinese food order on Monday a local holiday. Although accomodations were simple, I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

Short stay in Belize City

My stay an the Coninsby Inn was very pleasent. I only stayed for one night but the service and hospitakity were remarkeble. The owner herself helped me withe all the problems that occured regarding my departure. ou get a nice clean room with an AC for a very reasonable price in a decent neighborhood.

Needed a quick accommodation due to a late arriving flight before transferring to San Pedro. The neighborhood is dark at night, but morning revealed a quaint location that was walking distance to the San Pedro Express Water Taxi. (Pay no mind to the guys on the way haggling you to try the "other service") The rooms were adequate, with a quick to chill you Air Conditioning system.  Aside from the age of the place being apparent, it was well cleaned and kept after and would have been a suitable location to stay for a few days if you planned to partake in excursions from Belize City. A simple breakfast was available for purchase the next morning, as was coffee and juice. It's not fancy living, but everything you need to get by and just a quick stroll to the port. My wife and I would happily return, and plan to.

Save money here so you can explore more of Belize!

Staying an extra night before a group tour started at this hotel.  In decent condition and staff were attentive.  Had wonderful home cooked breakfast and dinner if you chose to pay for it.  Condition was fair but for $72 USD was a great price.  Neighborhood was quiet and well lit.  Felt safe walking around during day but overall Belize City is not to be walked at night.  Not much in the way of locals out at night either so taxi is way to go.  Enjoyed my couple of days in Belize City experiencing the "Gritty" atmosphere.  Part of the real Belize instead of the expensive resorts.

Great stay before Group Trip started

The building is a pretty Victorian with an interesting history.  Staff were very nice and helpful.  It is about a five minute walk to the Swing Bridge, and in the other direction to Bird Island where there is a nice open air restaurant.  The walk felt safe as there were security guards along the way.  We enjoyed the cooked to order breakfast.

Nice hotel near downtown

I chose this hotel for its close proximity to the ferry terminals in Belize City and its lower price compared to other hotels in the area. The hostess was friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable. The room was also quiet except that all of the dogs in the neighborhood would start barking and howling at each other at around 2am each night, so that might wake you if you're a light sleeper. The room's A/C and wifi both worked well and the TV had a lot of channels to choose from. The building is old so the hotel room could benefit from some renovations. Overall, a good value hotel if you're looking for something secure and inexpensive in the city.

Value Hotel in Belize City

I enjoyed my 4 day stay at Coningsby Inn. You definitely get what you pay for here and if you are looking for basic, safe accommodations this is the place for you. I spent most of my time in the city and exploring the country so I mostly only spent my nights sleeping in my room. If you are looking to really experience Belizean culture you are in the heart of it! Walking distance from food stands with delicious street food, and shopping. The rooms have wifi, an old tv, air condition unit, and a full bath with warm water. All doors are double locked and there is bars around all windows for safety, however there is no safe so you are forced to keep valuables back home or on you. There was no bugs in the room, but there was a lot of dust on top of the tv. Honestly accomdations were well worth the price and I definitely plan on staying here again if I ever get a chance to return to Belize.

Hotel in heart of Belize City

The Connigsby is a fantastic deal and charming basic accommodations. This little hotel has a wonderful staff and provides very no frills housing in a very safe part of Belize City. Just a few blocks away from the swing bridge and in the heart of downtown with lots of shops and easy access to water taxis to the Cayes. Right next door to the water, The Government House, St. Johns Cathedral, and a fantastic waterfront restaurant and bar called Bird's Isle. https://www.facebook.com/Birds-Isle-Rest-Belize-131491503597437/ We enjoyed our breakfast on the veranda made by the awesome staff of The Connigsby Inn - just a great deal.
