Fantastic
30 reviewsFirst of all, let us talk about the elephant in the room: The trains. This hotel is next to a train station, so there are a lot of trains running all the time, sometimes 2 per minute; at night it gets less, but during the day it is a bit challenging. Now, with that out of the way, let us talk about the actual hotel. The moment I saw it for the first time I knew I was in for a treat. The fassade already is a sight to behold, really beautiful. This is actually the first time I stayed in a listed location and boy was I glad I did. The stairs are beautiful as well and my room - I absolutely loved it. The owner told me it was the smallest room, but still more than enough for me. Everything was very clean, nice shower (which could use a little more water pressure) and a separate bathroom, two large windows, so that the room was very bright - there was nothing to complain about. The host was also very welcoming and he told me some great stories about the history of the house; unfortunately I had to jump on a call, otherwise I could have listened for hours. Whenever there was an issue he immediately reacted and solved any problem arising (like I could not find the shower - silly me) and there was also a nice fruit basket when I arrived, which was great because i was starving. The area is also o.k., lots of shops, a well-stocked supermarket just around the corner and I never felt unsafe, even when I walked around at night. I hope I am allowed to come back and next time I want to hear all the stories about this great and beautiful house.
