B&B La Fontanella

Unfortunately we didn't take any photos but our room on the second floor overlooking the street was perfect (to improve, we would suggest a small table on BOTH sides of the bed would be ideal). We arrived in the area late afternoon and had already visited two other 'Hotels" recommended by the tourist office which sadly left a lot to be desired. La Fontanella restaurant was closed but showed photos of rooms and a phone number (it is not in Tourist office book). We made contact and when we met with Mme. Bellinaso-Modave we were pleasantly surprised by the small 'apartment' and it's facilities i.e coffee machine, fridge , machine for boiled eggs ... and the nice breakfast (fresh bread left outside your door each morning) which is put in your fridge each day when the lady comes to do your washing-up, (though beds are not made for you but at the very reasonable price these rooms are, one can't have everything)!!! We stayed three nights and would buy our lunch at the supermarket across the road and eat in our 'apartment' if we were looking around La Roche-en-Ardenne There is a most interesting 'World War Two Museum across the road and the Feudal Castle is well worth a visit just for the views alone. We also ate at their Restaurant 'La Fontanella which was very nice indeed. Although once booked in you don't see M. et Mme as they are busy in their Restaurant if you need anything they are just next door or a phone call away and are very nice people indeed.
