Hamala Beach Resort

The location is perfect for its purpose. The privacy and security is the best you can have. The resort is western families compound . The food is excellent . The resort is quite and clean , well designed and the staff were very cooperative.

I have a friend who lives here and so have visited it several times. Whilst mostly for fixed residency there are villas for short term rent. It is located on the coast so easy access to the sea. It also has the usual facilities including pool and beachside restaurant. You need to have a resident’s permission to get past the gateman I think. 

Hamala Beach Resort is located in the Hamala area. It is bit away from the main Manama. The positives is that it is quiet and clean, with good customer service. Food in the restaurant is good but there is no bar.

A little gem

Good Place in Bahrain

This was the second time I have stayed here.

Pros - relaxing, quiet and clean, with good customer service (very friendly). Restaurant offered good food, although it felt like the continental breakfast pastries were warmed in a microwave oven.

Cons - no real social atmosphere and no bar. I realise Bahrain is a no-alcohol country, but this resort tends to be an ex-pat complex, with many British people living here. Hence, a bar would offer a more social hub. Nevertheless, if you seek alcohol, this can be ordered in (the guys at the security gate can receive deliveries for you).

Overall, big rooms (in the chalet) and its a great place to relax on the pseudo beach and/or by the pool. It also offers good car access to the island (being away from Manama) and Bahrain International Circuit. However, not the most welcoming surrounds nearby, so not sure I would recommend a walk around the local area.

Safe, secure, friendly, comfortable and clean.


Relaxing stop during busy week

The resort is a beautiful land on the beach away from the hussle and busy city of manama and jufair , i would love to see them renovate the hotel area as it is a bit run down , but having a resturant and small shop makes up for the fact that the closest resturant is driving distance away, their food options are fairly limited but the quality is satisfying. Adding spa treatments to the services would elevate the resorts standard. If you live in bahrain and have a home here in hamala then its worth it but if your visiting  it wont provide you with much experience to take home with you.
