Jausenstation Pfefferbauer

We just returned home after a wonderful three night stay at this incredibly beautiful hotel. Actually, this was our second stay here, we came across it accidentally some time back. Neither of us are Winter sports people, both big James Bond fans, we wanted somewhere we'd be guaranteed an On her Majesty's secret service vibe! So very glad we returned. We took a taxi up the beautiful climb that leads to Pfefferbauer and there we were warmly welcomed and shown to our room. We had Zimmer 2 this time, Zimmer 1 the time before. We opened the balcony door and...there it is. Honestly, the most breathtaking view of the mountains over the lake. Actually, this is one of those situations where you almost wouldn't need to leave the Hotel, it's all here! The stunning views, the staff all wonderful, warm and friendly. We spent a couple of evenings eating amazing food ( large portions! ) in the restaurant, welcomed like old friends by Anton and left in the capable hands of a lovely young chap called Stephen. The breakfasts are also very good! Good vibes from everyone there and some lovely people we met on our walks into the town. All of the little things people did made it a very special three days. Sad to leave, but we'll definitely be going back.
