The Hofmann lodge and Königslieten exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. The apartment lodge is located in the middle of Town on the edge of one of the beginner slopes in Königslieten, and a short walk to one of the main Gondolas. This access allowed us to park the minibus in the onsite covered lot and leave it parked for the week without any loss of flexibility. This part of the Zillertal Arena seemed to have the best snow and the least crowds. If we were going to live in Europe longer, we would feel compelled to keep this Gem a secret... We rented the 8 person apartment for the week for our 7 person family for about the same cost as 3 days in St. Anton. We were very comfortable! The Apartment was very clean, well stocked and tastefully decorated. The whole setting is a perfect Austrian Alps vacation in a quaint high mountain village with all the necessary amenities. Mr. Hofmann has designed everything for efficient storage of your gear and easy access to the slopes. He owns a ski shop next door and offers excellent rental equipment from beginner to handmade works of art... at the best price around for the guests of his lodge. The service was so accommodating and professional, it made an already wonderful family vacation delightful!
