Ascherbauer

We spent 6 days in Bauernhof Aschenbauer during the winter break in Februry 2016. The place is located circa 2 km from the cable car at Waidiring Steinplatte. The ski bus to Waidiring cable car is available for free. The guesthouse is run by a very nice family. We booked a room with 3 beds and a bathroom, which was rather small and a bit claustrophobic. Apart from the rooms for rent they also have two apartments for 6 person each – very convenient with own kitchen and bathrooms. The Bauernhof Aschenbauer is a bio farm, which means they have own milk and eggs. Tea and coffee is available all day in the dining room. The breakfast was included in the price. It is served in dining room. The food served for breakfast was always fresh and it was plenty of everything. They also serve homemade yogurt and cakes. There is also no problem if you have special dietary needs like gluten free food or no cow milk products – they serve goat or sheep cheese or yogurt. I am sure it must be a great place during the summer to spend a holiday with young children, who can explore the farm and observe the animals like cows, goats or chicken.
