Pilznerhof

We have had a very good experience staying in the Pilznerbauer hotel. We have booked a two bedroom apartment that accommodates up to 4 people and has its own private bathroom and spacious kitchen with all basic appliances and utensils. This makes it a real jewel for families. However, I have noticed that not all the rooms have a bathroom as there was one shared in the corridor. It’s a very quiet place with mountain and lake views. It is also a functioning farm as far as a can tell and there was a bit of a farm smell outside the farmhouse (hotel). But I couldn’t smell it in the room. The owner operator is a nice couple with three kids. They are very helpful and polite. On check-in we’ve been welcomed with a bottle of fine Austrian wine and got couple of bottles of their home brewed beer upon check out. However, please note there was a “clean-up” fee of 40 euros, which was a little unusual (especially when you stay for a short period of time it adds up a bit to the total price). But I must admit it wasn’t a surprise as we knew about that fee as it was mentioned on the booking website. Overall I would give it a very positive rating and would definitely stay there again when the chance comes!
