The hotel is run by a family who strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We missed our breakfast time (maybe even twice - not sure!) and yet Katharina made sure we had the breakfast and made it seem no problem whatsoever. As well as tailoring it to our liking. They tried hard to understand and be understood if you speak English (and not German), very friendly and chatty despite the language difference. We even were told a little about the traditional ways their family very happily lives out there. "Haus Kendlinger" itself is surrounded by wonderfully scenic countryside, complete with the lake, mountain(s) and total tranquility. The house is a traditional Austrian two-storey one with flowers on timber balconies and the accommodation was basic but spotless. Perhaps having no wi-fi at the time we stayed (July 2013) was a bit of a downside, but in a place like this lake it's no big deal! There is a bus stop less than 5 minutes walk away from the house, taking you all the way to Salzburg.
