Gasthof Hubertus

We have been visiting Saalfelden since 1981, our children grew up visiting this town, and now our grandchildren and great grandchildren also visit Saalfelden’s.. We knew the Gasthaus Hubertus when Herr Gruber and his wife owned it, in fact it was built by his Father who was a Forester for the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. I don’t know the present owners. In our years visiting Saalfelden. It really is the best place to visit. You can enjoy Puzzas in La Piazza, a coffee at the Rat Haus Cafe outside the town hall, take a long walk into the village of Maria Slm. Take the many footpaths that go up the mountains surrounding Saalfelden. In fact a little known piece of information is that ll the mountains that encircle Saalfelden are exactly the same height, not sure what it is. You can walk everywhere, find Alms (rest huts) for coffee beer and fantastic food. Travel to Innsbruck or Salzburg. So many things to do, not enough time in one holiday, you have to keep returning.
