Stayed here with the family for 2 weeks. Clean, modern apartment. Nice facilities and perfect location for the town and lifts. We got the Joker tourist card as part of our stay (included free with the accommodation). Gave us free access to lifts and the local water park which saved a lot of money.
Can't wait to return! 

This is the first time we visited the Hotel Haider in its new format - a self catering style apartment hotel. We have visited it many times before when it was a formal, halfboard ski hotel. It is also the first time we visited in summer. As always, Guggi, the owner was friendly and helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay.

The apartment was pleasantly decorated and we were pleasantly surprised by the two bathrooms! 

Guggi make our stay comfortable and organised us a taxi transfer to Zell am See. We also received complimentary lift and bus passes for the area. In ski season this would cost around €200 per week per head.

I am definitely booking my ski holiday for next season in this chalet hotel, as it is so central - literally right across the street from the Bernkogel ski lift! You cant get any closer than that!

Stayed here for one week in January with my wife and 2 kids (boy 18 and girl 16).  The accommodation was lovely and clean.  We stayed in apartment TOP 1.  The location was excellent with access to the slopes just outside the door.  The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the beds.  The main bed was very creaky and loud and the sofa bed was only 1 small double bed and my 2 kids were not happy they had to share.

Another happy return to the "new" Hotel Haider

Saalbach is a beautiful mountain resort but I would advise you to find another hotel. For the first two days there was broken heating and there was no hot water which seems to be a scandal in the 21st century. The owners of the hotel have not cleared the parking from the snow, we only got shovels to do it ourselves.The hotel has one advantage it is  close to the ski lift.

Hotel haider is one big mistake

Absolut terrible communication with the hotel owners. We booked 3 appartments for 3 nights and the next day after the confirmation we recieved an email that they are sorry but all of the appartments are full right now. So they just ignored and canceled our reservation and probably prefered some other reservation. 
But as I see here it seems to be an common way for this hotel how to handle their clients.

Anyway there are tons of other accommodations in Saalbach with a way better and nicer owners.

Terrible communication and reservation

Hotel owners is unkind person in the tourism  we encountered. has not given us to park the car in the courtyard at 14h. asked to wait until 15h, although it said that we can not get into 14h 30min.
any, of 7 days was not at the reception. the apartments did not change towels. in the apartment, there was nothing to clean.
the spa area had no water to drink. worst place ever.
