38 reviewsWe had an extremely comfortable and pleasant stay in the Hotel Maximilian. The entire hotel was spotless. Our corner room was a standard room, but was large enough, and had ample storage for cloths bags etc. The bathroom was modern, well designed and large enough. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hotel is located on the main valley road which can be quite busy. Our room on the first floor, overlooked the road, but during the evening the traffic had died down and it did not disturb us. We slept very well! We stayed on seven day half board package which was great value. The evening meals we served with regimental efficiency. The meals consisted of a salad from the salad bar, a starter, a soup, main-course and dessert. Unusually, there was no choice, however, we didn't find this a negative. Every course was fresh, well cooked and enjoyable. On a number of occasions I was even asked if I wanted more more meat or potato. Our host brought me an entire second delicious main-course on one occasion! (Calves Tafelspitze with polenta). Breakfast was equally delicious. There was a wide choice of breads, cereals, cold meats, sausages, cheeses, fruit, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, juices,coffee, teas and more! The hotel had a games room which had a table tennis table and small gym. We did not need to use this during our stay because the was so much to do in the valley. Our stay included the 'Stubai Super Card'. This allowed us free us of cable cars, buses, trains and more. We made full use of these facilities and walked a lot. We even had a day in Innsbruck courtesy of the free public transportation. The hotel is a just 5 minute walk to the centre of Neustift, supermarkets and the Elfer cable car. Ths was ideal in the evening, where we attended a number of concerts and entertaining folk music events. There was ample off street parking in the car park.
