Berghof

We stayed for the week between Christmas & new year. We had a family suite which consisted of a lounge area with sofa & flat screen TV. It had a double bedroom & a twin bedroom, a separate toilet & modern bathroom. The beds were comfy & the room was very clean. We also had a very big balcony. There was a safe, plenty of storage & dressing gowns. Other than liquid soap, there aren’t any toiletries provided. There was no kettle either. The staff were very friendly & polite. They always said hello & were very helpful. The room was ready when we arrived & there is an elevator although this did not access our floor so something to consider if you have mobility issues. The pool area is lovely & the water is a nice temperature. There is a sauna area but we didn’t use it as our child was under 14. The bar area is cosy & Sascha the barman is very friendly & remembers what everyone drinks. There is a good selection of drinks & a cocktail menu too. The food was amazing! Breakfast has a very good selection. Cakes are served daily from 4:00pm & homemade biscuits are on the bar. The evening meal consists of salad bar, soup course, starter, main meal & a dessert. We chose the hotel because of the close proximity to the gondola but hadn’t realised the ski area’s weren’t linked. So we did have to walk to the bus stop on the main road & catch a bus to the glacier. We stored our ski’s at the glacier so we didn’t need to carry them everyday. However the hotel does have a ski storage room and heated boot room. We had a fantastic holiday & would definitely return in the future.
