Harakiri Partyhouse

Recently returned from a long weekend with a group of friends. Great little hotel. In the run up to arrival, we had some swapping around with number of guests - Nici (the Manager) could not have been more helpful. After reading reviews on here I requested top floor rooms which was easily accommodated. She was really responsive to any queries. Also arranged for us to keep one of the rooms (no charge) until late on the last day so we could use the shower before leaving. Rooms are nicely decorated and appointed (bathrooms very swanky), comfy beds and actual twins (rather than stuck together Austrian twins). Breakfast is good and plentiful. Yes there is some noise from the bar below - but the rooms are pretty well noise-insulated to it was not obtrusive. Also a very faint lingering smell of smoke (I've known much worse). The bar seemingly has a smoking area but in reality people smoke where they like. I think the bigger issue is Austria's inability to enforce a smoking ban like lots of other countries have (note that one of the largest apres-ski venues (Bruck-n-stadl is smoke-free - seems the exception though). Location is ideal on the main street and a really short walk to the Penkenbahn. It's not cheap (€99 per person per night) but my searches didn't find anything cheaper either - it's a popular resort so that's the way supply and demand works!
