Back to Maria Alm for 8th time skiing there. New, extended Hochkonig Tour. My wonderful old standby Pension has changed hands and upped its prices so time for a change. Very, very glad I did. Clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly, attentive staff. Solid range of breakfast items - even cooked if you ask. We went for Half Board but supper didn't feel like second best. A choice of 3 different items each night - so 21 choices over the week. And the bar open for hot chocolate mit sahn und rhum when back from skiing. Wellness Centre in basement for some pampering. Handy place to park car. 40 metres from nearest bus stop. 5 minutes from ski lift if you stride out. No nightclub (hurray). I'd like to keep it to myself but that would be selfish. And we have already booked for next year!!!
