We have been staying at Bergheim for our skiing holyday at St Anton for the second time know and things are only getting better. On top of having an excellent location and nice rooms, the staff makes the stay both cozy and pleasant. We will be returning every year for many years if the hotel is not already fully booked.

What a great stay.  We had a little trouble finding it in our car on arrival, but after that things were perfect. You simply cannot be any closer to the gondolas, and ski storage in the shop below the hotel was perfect (we brought our own gear, and were able to store in the same place as if we had rented).  Johanna and Markus were amazing hosts, and the breakfast each morning was wonderful.  We truly hope to return someday, and I wouldn't even consider a different St Anton hotel.

For location, service and value for money, Hotel Bergheim was just right.

I have skied and stayed in St Anton for over 10 years, some of our group for 20 years. Until recently, we have always stayed at a friend's Haus lower down the Dorfstrasse. However, due to our friend selling up, we've been trying different locations but I think we have discovered our new St Anton base, Hotel Bergheim.

Situated next to the Rendlbahn and approximately 100m from the Galzigbahn & Gampenbahn, the location is ideal.

Breakfast is standard buffet style, with fresh bread, cereals, cold meat, cheese, yoghurts, tea, coffee, fresh juices, etc, as well as eggs freshly cooked to your preferred style.

Markus and Johanna made us all feel very welcome. The pre-trip communication and payment arrangements were very clear, as were check in and check out.

On arrival, we were greeted with a smile and a tour of the skis & boots storage arrangements. Essentially, it is free storage in the Intersport shop underneath the hotel. However, should you not make it back before 7pm, there is the back-up provision of a boot room in the hotel plus an external lockable storage cage next to the front door for skis/snowboards - the 'cage of shame'.

The Austrian decor in the hotel is warm, welcoming and a pleasant place to rest up after a long day of skiing & après. The rooms were cleaned every day, with fresh towels provided, plenty of wardrobe space, a safe, tv and free wifi. The bathroom was clean with a roomy shower. The one bedroom rooms are more like a large triple room and spacious enough for 3 adults. There is a single bed near the balcony in a partitioned area away from the twin-mattress style double bed. We all each got a set of keys to get access to the hotel front door & cage with one apartment key between us: the main key can be stored in the reception area to avoid any lock out nonsense at the end of the night. Easy.

In summary, this is a quiet family run hotel designed for families or groups of friends who do their partying elsewhere and come back here to rest, relax & get set for the next day on the mountain. We are all looking forward to coming back to Hotel Bergheim next time we are in St Anton.

Stayed at the Hotel Bergheim late last ski season and have been meaning to write a review since! It was a wonderful stay with incredibly accommodating hosts. 

Johanna and Markus did everything possible to make our trip as easily as possible. First of all, on a total shoestring ski holiday, they helped us by finding a reasonable room and offer, and finally on leaving the hotel when we made a mistake with timings of the ski hire company Johanna completely sorted our stresses by taking our hire items back for us after we had left. These sort of little 'go the extra mile' things made our stay extra great. 

The hotel was great with simple yet comfortable rooms, a stylish reception and dining area, and the best breakfast in St. Anton! Yummy rolls and great coffee. 

The location of the hotel is probably the best in the town as it is perfectly situated between the two main gondola stations. 

St. Anton is of course wonderful anyway, and although we went too late in the season to get great snow, the stay was awesome and I'd definitely recommend Hotel Bergheim.

If your looking for high end, then this is not the place for you. However, if you're looking for probably one of the very best locations then this is it. 15m from the Rhendelbahn Gondola & 30m from the Galzibahn Gondola. The hotel is basic, but is kept very clean everyday. The staff are lovely & you are 1 minutes walk from the centre of town. I couldn't fault it. Thank you Markus & your team. We stayed in March 2016.

We stayed at the Bergheim again this January ( 2015) and it remains one of the best places I have ever visited.  The hotel is clean, the rooms are nice, breakfast is good and Markus and the Tschol family are gracious hosts.  This was my fortieth year staying there and I remain very grateful that a room is waiting.  The bathroom in our room is great and room cleaned and cared for meticulously.  It is perfect hotel in a great ski town,

We really enjoyed staying at Hotel Garni Bergheim for our family ski holiday. As a family of 6 (4 teenagers), we appreciated the room the apartment had to offer. Having the ski hire shop in the same building made everything nice and easy after a day's skiing as we could store our gear there. The hotel is up the end of the main street, so shopping and restaurants were within 2-5mins walk. Being a short stroll to the main gondola for the St Anton ski field was fantastic. To top it all off, Markus and Johanna (our hosts) went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed- including making all our dinner reservations for the week. They gave our holiday experience a friendly welcome feel and we would highly recommend a stay here to friends and family. We hope to be back too!

A Quiet & Perfectly Located Family Run Hotel

Fantastic Location

Ideal Location; Great Hotel

Austrian family ski holiday

booked in early April 2018 for 1 week holiday at end of January 2019 for a twin-bedded room with telephone, safe, bath/shower. Room was in the basement in an alcove halfway down some stairs. One bed was in the narrow hallway in front of the bathroom door which could not be opened fully due to the bed.  The other bed was under a window which looked out into a large industrial air conditioning unit. No safe, no telephone, no bath, just a small shower. This was not a proper hotel room and nothing like the pictures on the website - it was more like a closet which was repurposed into a room for service staff. Noise in stairway from people coming up from the store and storage area below. Wrecked our enjoyment of our holidays. Beds were short and made alot of loud creaks with any movement. The room was shocking - we could not find alternate accommodation for the week so we had to stay.  The breakfast was good.
