23 reviews5 days en 4 nights of stay at Pension Juliana in Stubenbach, Lech. At arrival we had a warm welcome of Claudia, who runs the beautiful Pension. She showed our room and we had a tasteful diner she made herself (a view times a week). The room (nr11) is a nice, quiet, clean and spaceful room with a really nice bed, shower (+bad!) and big closet. Every day the room got cleaned up. In the morning you can see the sun shine on the mountains. The breakfast from 8.00 untill 10.00 is really good. With fresh breads, mermalades, cheese and meat, yoghurts, coffee, thee, egss.. And a warm good morning of Juliana. Whatever you need! At the and of the day from 16.00 untill 18.00 there’s a coffee table with nice (home made) pie/cake to think over the wonderful day of skiing. They have a seperate place where you can leave your ski’s/board/shoes to dry and you can park your car for in front of the Pension. Close to the house they have a stable with their own cows and horses, really nice to visit with Claudia. The bus in and around Lech runs every 10 minutes and stops in front of Pension Juliana (Bus ‘ Stubenbach’), so you dont have to wait a long time. Past 19.30 (I think) the bus ‘ James’ drives and you have to pay 4.50 pp for the hole night to use the bus. Skiing in Lech is one of the best we ever had. You can ski above Lech/Oberlech/Zurs or take the big lift to ski to Warth (really nice long pistes!). Or take the bus to Stuben and you can ski to St. Christoph/St. Anton. Enough options! We found out that Lech is the first skiing area in Austria and most snow-sure because it lays in the northern-Alps. It has a nice history. A nice place for lunch, drinks and party is Balmalp (above Zurs). With (I think) around the weekend a live DJ! After all you can have nice coffee/lunch/diner/drinks every where. Prices are a bit like in France, but than with the cosiness of Austria! We really would like to recommend Lech in Austria and above all Pension Juliana! Thanks a lot for our stay Claudia and Leo!
