Just got back from a great week. Staff super helpful and keen to pass on knowledge of ski area. Comfortable, quirky hotel in great location for access to slopes. VIP service excellent as always. Front of house staff excellent.

This hotel has been taken over by VIP ski for the 2019/20 ski season!

Where to start! This holiday is simply the best one we’ve had so far and it wasn’t because of the slopes, although they were pretty good too! VIP offer a slick service from collection at the airport with a no stress transfer! We were particularly anxious this year traveling with a baby for the first time but there was no waiting around or confusion, lovely Angus and Stephan greeted us at the airport and got our luggage on the coach and we were off! A lovely lunch spread awaited us on arrival, being vegan we were a little worried that there maybe limited catering for us but we had nothing to fear! :) after lunch our bags were delivered to our room and we had time to settle in, then we met the nanny, Angela, who was the most lovely lady and whom was very excited to meet our little one! She put our worries to rest and we looked forward to having a little time to ourselves for the week! Frank had our lift passes ready the first night with the lift being 30metres away and you can ski in to the boot room/sun terrace-bar area at the end of the day. This resort is not for beginners as there are no green runs and the blues have some near red sections - fantastic for snowboarders and intermediate skiers with little to no flat spots. Fantastic for vegans as we found somewhere to eat in every location. The hotel is a lovely, authentic hotel - the rooms are very quiet with no noise being heard through the walls/ceilings with only the usual corridor noise being heard through the door. ALL of the staff are amazing, they are more than happy to chat to you and cater to your every need and question! The catering is exceptional, there is a 3 course meal choice each night which you book the night before including a vegetarian/vegan option and each night we were wowed by the chef! I wish they could come home with us! Dinner comes with a selection of 9 wines red/white/rose - however no beer which is a bit disappointing as my husband would of preferred one beer instead of a whole bottle of wine! The baby food was cooked fresh everyday with a varied choice of mashed, purées and finger food (cutlery for toddlers is provided but not really suitable for babies, fortunately we brought our own) The bedrooms were super clean and were made up each day to a very high standard and they arranged this around the baby’s nap times. The hotels hot water was a great pressure and having a bath and a balcony was a fantastic bonus! The childcare was amazing with him playing in communal areas with activities including messy play, painting, playing in the snow, walks, song and music time and much more!! Angela kept in regular contact with us during the day with updates via whatsapp- she really did put our mind at rest! Afternoon tea and cake was fantastic also! We were provided with a vegan option each day plus soy/almond milk and a selection of different teas - heaven! We didn’t use the spa facilities as we had our hands full with the baby so can’t leave feedback for this. The boot room is quite small but we didn’t have to wait long to get in there in the mornings. Areas for improvement: Black our blinds/curtains in the bedroom More vegan cooked options for breakfast (Hash browns/sausages/avocados ) Vegan cheese board is missing - we didn’t mind this but some people might like this or an alternative after dinner spread!

The hotel is traditional "Austrian" style in its most positive sense "gemütlich". It's run by the family who are fantastic hosts. Rooms are generous, bathrooms are modern. It offers a small but absolutely sufficient Spa area with a relaxing infra-red cabin. Service and food are fantastic, it's a challenge to not gain weight:)

Our family (two adults and three teenage children) have stayed at the hotel on 5+ occasions. It is a great hotel in a wonderful, peaceful location, yet very convenient for the St Christophbahn ski lift. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the rooms and facilities of a high standard. We always appreciate the food (good variety, generous, local ingredients) and general feeling of wellbeing the hotel engenders. 

The bedrooms were excellent. Dining room lovely with views of piste bashers with evening meal. Wood excellent. Wine ok. Bar area was ok. But no fire. And with door to outside being opened by smokers not as warm as you would expect in a ski hotel. TV showed the rugby with BBC coverage which was a nice touch.

Myself and my friend spend there one week around New Year. We are both skiers so the hotel location in direct proximity to the ski lifts was one of the factors contributing to book our stay there. This  is a small, family run hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and in terms of equipment are adequate to the class of the hotel, perhaps bathrooms are a bit outdated, however all amenities worked properly. There is relatively big car park for the guests in front of the hotel. Ski room a bit small but equipped properly. Breakfasts are very good although not spoiling with the choice of the food and you’d better arrive early for breakfast otherwise you have to ask the staff to replenish the food that has already been consumed by other guests. You can also order various eggs dishes cooked according to your wish. Food for dinners is very good. Kitchen staff and a Chef are doing excellent job. Wine list is sufficient however prices are at the higher end - no wines below 33 Euro except for the house wine. Also you have to pay 3 Euro for water in carafes, which is a bit strange, but these are the rules. Owners and the staff are very helpful and friendly providing guests with the excellent service. One exception is a slightly older lady who is apparently suffering from hearing impairment - It took me some afford to turn her attention to my request for cappuccino (I can’t believe that she was ignoring me in such a customer oriented hotel environment). Also she was stubbornly speaking German to me although I was turning to her in English. However, our overall impression was very good. The hotel is definitely worth recommending and we may wish to come back one day.


We checked in  to the Hotel on Christmas Eve 2016, 2 families with teenage children. 
This is a lovely, very well run family Hotel.
Their are only 18 rooms, ( 3 are suites  ) 
The restaurant is very good indeed.
A very good chef, 5 courses each evening! 
( you choose Meat, fish or Veg ) option in the Morning at Breakfast, the food and service is very good, very pleasant indeed.
Should there be something on the menu
That you cannot eat, the Owners are very helpful, and will suggest alternatives that will suit your taste.
Their Ace card is the owners son, 
Who covers the evening shift, he has a great sense of fun, and is extremely accommodating, absolutely nothing is to much trouble for him & he is the future of the Hotel & it's in safe hands with him.
As he is very warm & knows what the customers want! 
So after 20 years of visiting Austria in the ski season ( twice a year) 
Their are one or Two things that this little 
gem can improve on I feel! 
We are used to a formal Christmas Eve Dinner in Austria on Christmas Eve ......
And although it was fun, and very nice. we sat down to Fondue Christmas Eve, which is the main Xmas meal of the Holiday. 
So felt the chef was given the evening off at the expense of the customer somewhat.
We were given a toast & fine glass of champayne as well. 
The only other observation is that 
the bar area is very Dated indeed! 
And looks like it has not been changed since the 60's so after a lovely meal.
Everyone either goes up to bed or as we did go across the road to the 5 star Hotel opposite.
Feel they are missing a trick! , as with a brighter bar area,  people would be encouraged to spend more time having after dinner drinks! 
Our room was again dated, but our friends 
Had a suite, which was very nice indeed! 
Do visit, well worth it!👍

I think VIP Ski took over this place for the 2019-20 ski season. They have recruited great staff who couldn't do enough for you and provided good quality meals - buffet and cooked-to-order food. Dinner is pre-chosen the previous evening and the wine is free for 1 hour before and over dinner.
The location is good, close to the chair and at the bottom of the slopes for skiing back. The decor is tired but that can be addressed. My room was quite good in size but the shower was in the bath with no panel or curtain to prevent it spraying over the tiled floor.
Compared to other ski holidays the cost was good but I would have paid more for smarter accommodation. The experience was good but marked down because of the decor. Their excellent staff deserve better surroundings.

Great Staff - Good Position - Pretty Tired Decor

Don’t come back to the hotel at 11 o’clock, it’s closed up, dark and no one answers the phone when you can’t get your key to work. There is no doorbell.

After banging as loudly as I could, the owner’s son told me it’s a 3* hotel and not to expect anyone to answer the phone or be on reception. 

BTW it’s snowing, blowing a gale and -7 Celsius! 

He then was delightful enough to tell me that I should be grateful not to be left out in the snow and should say ‘fu**in thank you for answering the door’!  DIRECT QUOTE

Delightful!

His mother was welcoming and check in was efficient and the rooms good size with amenities. Fantastic location... but these people don’t deserve your money if they treat guests with such disrespect!
