The Villa Excelsior is a marvellous, rather eccentric relic of a bygone era. It is elegant, quirky and redolent of history. You can take the cure where Freud took it and enjoy walks back in time to the Baden Baden or Vichy of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. At the same time, the food and service are superb. Christoph runs a very tight ship and he and his staff cannot do enough. Almost every guest we met had been coming back for years, if not decades and I believe we will follow their example!
