Park Villa - Exklusive Appartements

We were really fortunate to spend a week, towards the end of April 2014, in the stunning apartment home, Park Villa. This was our third visit to Bad Hofgastein and were more than satisfied with our accommodation in the well appointed Panorama suite of the Park Villa. The Park Villa is affiliated to the superb Das Goldberg Hotel from where all arrangements were made. We travelled to Bad Hofgastein by train and were collected form the station by a very helpful and efficient staff member thereafter a quick and painless check in at the hotel and we were transferred to our apartment, about 750m away in the centre of town. We were given the option to use the fantastic spa and sauna facilities at the hotel which are great, we did spend a few hours there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Travelling with a 4 and a 1 year old proved challenging at times but we loved relaxing in our stunning apartment in-between walks around the village and trips to the excellent Alpentherme which is an easy 400m walk. The Alpentherme has a great children's section and even under the most miserable weather conditions it is a great place to visit with heated pools and indoor facilities. Bad Hofagstein, out of ski season, is quiet and relaxing, definitely not the place if you are after night life. This suited us perfectly and we kept ourselves busy every day just taking in the beautiful scenery. The Park Villa is self service although one can use the hotel facilities and eat at the restaurants in the village we were more than happy to buy groceries from the Billa supermarket (easy walk of 200m) and use the well appointed appliances in "our" apartment including the all important dish washer! Highly recommended.
