We have been regular visitors to the Hotel Goldenes Schiff over the past 5 years. The hotel is very well located being only a short walk from the railway and bus stations and is located beside the river close to the town centre. The rooms and facilities continue to be excellent. The decoration and furnishings in our bedroom had been upgraded since our previous visit. Our room was spacious and clean with a small balcony overlooking the Traun river and Katrin mountain. The breakfast buffet is excellent with great choices of hot and cold dishes. The hotel bar is busy but we were always able to get a seat either inside or outside beside the the river. We have found all the staff to be very helpful and friendly but special mention to Anna in the bar and Annette in the breakfast who provided exceptional service during our stay. Overall, the hotel is modern and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Recommended.
