Second year in a row we come to Alpbach
We always stay at Furstenhof, very nice accommodation, great location, very reasonable prices. What makes this hotel even more special is the host - Marianna, she is friendly, helpful and a great host.

Lovely welcoming guest house with good facilities. Host Marianne was wonderful, and went out of her way to ensure everything was great for everyone. 

Good ski and (heated) boot storage facilities.

Rooms are lovely, plenty of storage. Bathroom generous, spotless with a good shower. 

Location is good, just a short walk into town, but the Alphof hotel next door has a good bar and menu if you don’t want to venture too far.

We stayed from 8th to 15th of Feb and had a lovely time. Marianne is a lovely lady so friendly and the pension feels like home. The rooms are lovely with comfy beds and hot showers and it feels really safe staying here. Breakfast is really good with all you need and a constant supply of tea and coffee. Alpbach is a lovely little village to stay for ski-ing and the ski bus stops right outside the hotel at 8:56 9:26 and 9:56 and there are also lots more buses leave just down the road in the village. We went with Crystal ski and took the half board package with breakfast at the furstenhof and dinner at the hotel Alphof next door which was also excellent. We had a fantastic time.

Stayed at Fuerstenhof for a skiing holiday in late January 2020. Marianne very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, room was spacious, balcony with great views, comfortable beds, shower was large. Ski bus stops immediately outside twice in morning and afternoon so convenient to get to slopes, especially if you rent a locker at the gondola station (recommended). There is another ski bus stop further down the hill with more departures. Breakfast was generous with typical breads, jams, cheese, ham... and as much coffee or tea as you wish. The distance from the centre of Alpbach ( about 10 minute walk down/up hill) means its quite quiet but you need to plan your evenings with this in mind. There is wifi but a bit weak in bedrooms.
We had a great time in Alpbach and would happily stay at the Fuerstenhof again. 

Family of 4 (kids 17 & 14) had a FANTASTIC time in Alpbach. Loved staying in a pension instead of a hotel, dining at  Boglerhof, walking the many, many AMAZING trails that lead from Alpbach village centre. Mariana looked after us very well. Travelled everywhere by bus or gondola (both FREE) to Reith (Jupe Zuperwald), Kramsach (Tyrolean Farmhouse museum - better than it sounds), Rattenberg (Castle), Brandenberg (Waterfalls) and Brixlegg .Really got the best out of the Tyrol. Look back on this holiday very fondly.  

Room spotless great view from balcony over the snow capped mountain.Breakfast was excellent great variety of meats , cheeses,  fruit, bread and juices.The owner of the Furstenhof is very attentive  and helpful.We have enjoyed staying here and would recommend  it.Extras in the room kettle, hairdryer and sky news are very much appreciated.

A lovely guesthouse, nice rooms, great breakfast and lovely host. Well located for the ski bus and walking into town only takes 5 minutes. We had a lovely stay and the host is extremely helpful with advice on local activities.

I highly recommend the Furstenhof Guest House to travellers looking for a typically Austrian pension. Marianna is very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds are comfy. The balcony views are stunning. Continental Breakfast is plentiful with ham, cheese, cereal, yoghurt, fresh and dried fruit, nuts, tea/coffee, water/juices, bread, cake and boiled eggs if requested. The location is perfect. I would recommend this pension for both summer and winter holidays in Austria. We booked with Tui on a B&B basis so we were able to use the indoor swimming pool at the Alphof Hotel next door. It is possible to book Half Board to take meals at the Alphof as well. The Alpbachtal Seenland Card we received on arrival is brilliant. It gave us free bus and cable car rides as well as discounts to all the major attractions in the area. Alpbach is quiet but absolutely gorgeous! Some lovely restaurants in the village. Most items on the menus are expensive but it is possible to get a reasonably priced soup, salad or pizza type meal at most establishments. Stunning walks in summer and fab variety of skiing in the winter. Using the local bus routes, you can visit Brixlegg, the Reintalersee (large swimming lake) with the Farmers Museum close by in Kramsach, Rattenberg, the Wiedersbergerhorn, Reith im Alpbach, the Reithersee (small swimming lake in Reith) and the Poglbahn in Reith im Alpbach. So much to do in summer and winter. There are great children's parks with obstacle courses and trampolines at the top of the Wiedersbergerhornbahn in Alpbach and the Poglbahn in Reith im Alpbach. We found a lovely circular walk known as the Mulhbachweg - Weg der Besinnung - the Path of Contemplation. It is an easy 1Km circular stroll with sculptures and water features. To find it, walk past the Alpbach Tourist Information Centre out of town, go past the Hotel Der Alpbacherhof, cross the small bridge at the end of the main street and bear left down a slight incline. You will find the entrance of the Weg der Besinnung with it's ornamental gateway. Enjoy!

The Furstenhof is an excellent base for exploring Alpbach and the Tirol. Our room was spacious and clean with a balcony, separate shower/ toilet, a safe and a kettle. Marianna is a wonderful hostess- breakfast is very substantial with fruit, cereal, yoghurt, cheese, cut meats and a variety of bread and Marianna is always on hand for a chat and to top up coffee! We booked through TUI on a bed and breakfast basis- this included transfers from Innsbruck and a great bonus was the Alpbachtal Seeland card which gives you free transport on local buses and unlimited use of 4 ski lifts in the area. Local hikes are stunning and there are some great places to eat in the village- Messner’s and Gasthof Jakober were our favourites. Easy train links from Brixlegg to Innsbruck and Salzburg made for some wonderful days out. We loved the Furstenhof and our stay in Alpbach- highly recommended!

Stayed here for a week as a B&B while skiing. Overall excellent. Nice rooms with balcony, good breakfast and a drying room. The lady who runs it is very nice too. The ski bus stops just outside and drives about 10min to the gondola. The village centre is a 5min walk down the hill where there are a few pubs, ski school, rental shops etc. Very good value. Recommended.
