Highly recommended.Amazing location and great service, friendly staff. The only problem is that the hotels promise of Silver Exclusives: 1 Free beverage was not fulfilled. No big deal, will choose again for next stay.

Unique concept. School holidays but private, quiet, no kids. Great pool area, awesome dining options. The beachouse units are unique and comforable. Loved it thanks. Will be back

Perfect peaceful getaway for couples. A bit away from the main area of Airlie Beach so a car is handy to explore. Staff were so friendly and breakfast is a perfect start to the day!

Amazing parking was just a little far. Need to have a car for this place but it was WELL worth it. It was excellent all round. Highly recommend. Staff were amazing, property amazing. Favourite place I stayed on our trip of 10 hotels (some much more expensive)

I was advised that there is a complimentary shuttle bus and can be adjust if any of us need the bus earlier than 11am but didn’t mention that there is a strict 11am starting route .That’s why I booked with Freedom Shores even they are quite far from the center (15-20 mins  driving  )but if I had to choose again the distance will put me off rebooking with them.Otherwise all the rest was excellent.

Adorable property! All the rooms look like boats! Beautiful ocean views! Great out of town location but easy walk to beach front restaurants!

You cant get a better slice of paradise than Freedom Shores. We love this place for its tranquil surroundings yet so close to Northerlies for a relaxing drink, eat and vibe. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and they make you feel comfortable with children as part of the booking. We love this place, nothing to improve.

We stayed in the Beach Shack for a few nights. We were welcomed by management and made to feel comfortable. The staff were respectful and very friendly. The Northerlies hotel is close by and has great meals. Freedom Shores accom includes a continental breakfast. It is served in the main area where you can plate your food, put on a tray and either eat back in your room or out on the deck with great views. The beach shack has it’s own grassed area, sun lounges, cabana, loads of quiet spots to sit, wander onto the rocks at low tide. There are several curlews and turkeys that frequent the area as well. The beach shack is beautifully and comfortably furnished, the bed is comfortable.

A real treat you deserve

Great getaway! Could not fault the room. Was disappointing that you could not have meals delivered to accommodation. Went to phone ahead to order. Rang through 3 times and it disconnected each time after a message to say come down to restaurant to make a reservation. When ordering after walking over to restaurant I found out that the menu in the room was out of date. Then had to carry food back to accommodation which was quite an effort with heavy dishes. I am quite mobile, but accomodation is not suited to anyone with mobility issues. You need to carry your own luggage up and down steps from the carpark. The accommodation that is meant to be smoke free resort is great. Until you are enjoying your glass of wine on the deck and the people next door come out and smoke right next to you 🙁. Despite these negatives, the views in intent of the resort is absolutely lovely. Bed is comfortable and the grounds well maintained.

Freedom Shores was incredible and we can’t recommend it enough! The resort is located north of Airlie Beach, but don’t let the location put you off - easy access to main areas, but also secluded in your own peacefulHaven. The location was to die for - away from the hustle and bustle of Airlie, and bar and grill a short 2 minute walk away at Northerlies. The room was awesome, old boat converted into hotel film with air con, ensuite and all necessities you need. Super comfortable bed, and plenty of towels and beach towels to keep you going at the pool and many beaches nearby. The facilities were great: relaxing pool area overlooking the sea and nearby whitsunday islands; bar and lounge at reception; phenomenal breakfast included with everything you could ever need; and meals a short walk away. We loved the meals so much we ate primarily at Northerlies. The staff were incredible and made our stay amazing, and gave us tips of where to go. Thank you to everyone at Freedom Shores - you’ve got a fantastic setup and we look forward to returning soon!

Paradise in Airlie ☀️

There is absolutely NOTHING you can complain about this place from the service to the cleanliness to the location.  this is 100% the place to stay at in Qld. This was my second visit within a couple of months and it didnt disappoint at all.  The boat cabins are so clean and well set out and the facilities are awesome! You have so many places to sit and relax and enjoy yourself.

Freedom Shores was fantastic. Lovely fresh continental breakfast, served in a beautiful room, or eat on your boat balcony or by the pool. Staff were ever so friendly and helpful. Fantastic pool area. Our room was super cute, created to mimic living on a boat. Everything we needed in the room and space is used really well. We loved it and will be back next time we’re in Airlie Beach.

The service here was outstanding. We arrived early and the room was cleaned immediately for us. The bed was very comfortable and everything was cleaned immaculately. We even had gluten free breakfast arranged for us. The manager Anneleise goes out of her way to ensure everything is perfect. We highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway

Freedom Shores is a little slice of paradise just 5 minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of Airlie Beach and less than 1 minutes walk to the fantastic Northerlies Bar & Grill.  The room (we stayed in Fairweather, one of the 3 suites located above the boat and beach house accommodations) was quiet and very clean with beautiful views overlooking the water and Whitsunday Islands. The continental breakfast just right, the coffee great, the staff super friendly and the landscaped grounds superb. We had a great 9 night stay and loved it so much have re-booked for another 9 nights in Sept.  Can't wait.

Would recommend for families rather than couples looking for a special romantic stay. We liked the accommodation and stayed in a boat that was very comfortable. The welcome from Annalise was also great and very informative. However we were very disappointed with our experience and meal at northerlies which had been our reason for staying at the hotel. If you are looking for clean, friendly accommodation out of the hussle of the town then this is a good option. Despite the beautiful views,  if you are looking for a romantic  retreat or special occasion I would recommend looking at other options.
