DD Apartments on Kent Street

Great sized apartment, location was perfect. Bed was comfortable. Restaurant below was amazing, shops nearby. Loved people watching and were impressed by the apartment, close to central and you can walk there.

If you are looking for an apartment in the heart of the city for a reasonable price and excellent facilities this it it! The apartments are a great size and hey are very clean. There was everything you could possibly need. Gym and indoor heated pool and spa and sauna. Close to train stations, cafes, bars and darling harbour. The only down side was that there is no reception desk and you have to call to arrange a specific time to check in. BUt the staff make up for this by being very helpful and accommodating.

When we came back  to Sydney from the countryside last summer, we stayed here fir a night and it was all fine. Staff seemed helpful and knowledgeable while I liked the central location. Rooms may have been somewhat generic and bland but they were clean and comfortable which was the main thing.

The apartment I had was very well kitted out with everything you could need for a short stay in Sydney. The location is also excellent allowing you to walk pretty much everywhere. The only downside was that the apartment overlooked Kent Street itself which was very noisy even during the night. I did not use the pool but it looked nice.

This is a top little spot. Location is so close to everything... Darling Harbour is less than 7 minutes walk away.
Our apartment was on level 1 with limited views. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable.  Some of the amenities in the bathroom could be better presented, but that wouldn’t stop us coming back again. The staff member who welcomed us was friendly and showed us around before leaving us to the apartment.
A great find that is all about the location and proximity to everything Sydney!!! 

Stayed in the two bedroom apartment with balcony on the 20th floor and loved it! Only a 5 minute walk from Wynyard station or an 8 min from Town Hall has you in the heart of all the Darling Hatbour precinct has to offer and so close to the CBD. My apartment was clean, well appointed and secure. We were met downstairs and escorted to our apartment and if you drive in, you are also met at the car park up the road and escorted to your room. Just make sure you call 20 mins before arriving so they are there to let you in the Trafalgar Apartment block where DD is situated. The cafe downstairs is open Sundays for a cheap and freshly cooked brekkie and fresh juice. Will definately stay again.

Great location, near to Darling Harbour and everything in the CBD within 10-20 mins walking distance.
5th floor 2 bed apartment was clean, comfortable, very well kitted out, the owners had thought of every need.
Cleaners came regularly.
Gym and swimming pool on ground floor.
Make sure you ask for an apartment on an upper floor at the back so you catch the sun in the afternoon overlooking the harbour, otherwise the view is rubbish, just the back of a really close office block.
There is a lot of building work going on 6 days a week so expect lot's of noise.
Tv reception was poor, could not watch it most evenings.
A/c struggles when it is warm.
Main bedroom had cheap blinds which did not fit well, so there was a lack of privacy and light streaming in all night from adjoining building - this really does need fixing, unless you like sleeping in a well lit room !
The tumble drier stopped working, but was not fixed as promised.

Great location

I stayed at these apartments in February for 4 nights, that all went well. We left one suitcase and on our return for 2 further nights the apartment had wet floors due to a washing machine leak. We were moved to a different room which was not good for a disabled person, shower over a very high sided bath. I was assured that when we returned for a further 4 nights we would have a better room. We were taken to a further 2 rooms both with a shower over a bath. All of this going from different floors and rooms after a long flight was not good for someone who is disabled. We were eventually put in a room that was half the size of our original one and were charged the same money. They took all our money and as I have been complaining for the last 3 weeks with no reply whatsoever I feel very annoyed to say the least. I did all the booking through Booking.com but they tell me it is not their problem. Someone needs to take responsibility for this poor service.

DD Apartments treated us terribly

After Australia went into lockdown for visitors, I cancelled my reservation plans.  

I normally do not write 1 circle reviews (I would give 0 if there was an option) but the audacity of the management company really upset me.  This company never returned my deposit nor responded to my emails or calls requesting a refund when I clearly cancelled my reservation within the cancellation terms.   

Very shady and untrustworthy!  The worst period.

DON'T BOOK HERE.  NEVER REFUNDED MY DEPOSIT

I booked to stay at DD Apartments Kent St in April and unable to attend due to COVID. I have been emailing, phoning, texting, getting booking.com to call and email and no response since March 2020.

I have had to take legal action to try and get back my $4898. That’s right, $4898 because I booked a 3 bedroom apartment for 7 days. 

DO NOT, DO NOT BOOK AT DD APARTMENTS!!!
