The Stables, in the charmingly historic town of Carrick just 20 minutes from the centre of Launceston, provides a refuge for any couple to while away a few days amongst a beautiful garden all while exploring the area. The beautiful gardens provide plenty of hidden sitting spots to read a quiet book in the dappled sunlight. If you'd prefer to sit around an outdoor fire and drink some local wines they'll suit that too. They even feature a lively band of chickens and their chicks that can be spied amongst the flower beds. The accommodation is clean and freshly renovated. It is comfortable with all the modern appliances needed. Complimentary fresh eggs daily were a lovely bonus. The hospitality of the owners were absolutely amazing - they were fantastic to chat too, bounce any itinerary problems off, and most importantly - bake the most delicious cookies.
