We stayed overnight with our caravan. Our site was down by the pool and we had really nice views over the lake. 
The weather was awful and it rained pretty much the entire time but despite the wet it was still a nice park. 
The staff were really nice and even came to check on us once we were in as they were concerned about the wet. 
Lots of ducks and wet but otherwise a nice stay.

Budget friendly and awesome lake scenery!

We stayed in a cabin which was well-equipped and clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Neighbouring cabins and caravan in the compound followed rules regarding noise restrictions and other general park rules. Highly recommended. Will stay here again.

Really nice accommodation that was convenient for my purposes. Just a heads up about the non-signposted massive dip/drain in the road near the toilet block, which sneaks up on you in the dark, especially if you are in a small car!Staff were amazing!

Friendly, warm welcoming staff! Very helpful with guides to local shops and attractions. Clean facilities, kitchen equipment was so helpful in the rain. Beautiful view of the lake and fishing was awesome. Kids had a ball in the pool and riding the bikes we hired.

Had a fantastic week at the Lake Macquarie Ingenia park. The park was quiet and well kept. We were fortunate to be in a Lake view property. If you like fishing this is a perfect spot, our son caught fish daily off the jetty. We were able to hire canoes from reception and fire-pits are available also, the kids loved foraging for wood. There are nearby beaches to play on for kids and dogs, the Rockpool at Norah Heads is stunning. Orange picking at Dooralong was fun too. The staff are so friendly and kind. We will definitely return. Thank you.

Beautiful place and must be even better when it’s not raining.

We stayed in a budget cabin overnight. It was perfect for what we needed. Comfortable bed, aircon, ensuite and small kitchenette with a fridge. Also your own Bbq on the verandah. The park was very clean and the view of the beautiful lake was a nice surprise in the morning. Will recommend to family and friends

Stayed in a “motel” room which was fine for my needs, would be good if there were photos of it online as there’s photos of everything but that. So I didn’t know what to expect. Parking is on concrete right in front. Dripping cold tap in the vanity in loo room needs sorting. Very tight to turn off. Room also needs a bedside lamp and an extra blanket - wasn’t warm enough overnight. But otherwise a cheap room and it’s a short walk to the beautiful foreshore of Lake Macquarie. Seating outside the motel room x 2 also handy.

Lake side retreat

What a great place. From the first phone contact with Janine, to arrival, leaving and even a nice text wishing us a safe trip home,  This place is obviously ran by People who care about their park and your stay, it's just a GREAT place.  We only spent a weekend as we had just purchased a new van and wanted to try it out.  The site was very spacious, toilets and showers very clean - I always check these out even though we use our vans.  The pool was clean and well kept, as were the camp kitchen/BBQ areas.
There seemed to be fun for kids of all ages on the hire tricycles (next time we will bring the grandkids). Just a beautiful position near the lake, with nice walking trails surrounding the park and local area area.  Felt like a very safe, family orientated park. We will be back.  By the way it's pet friendly so our cocker Monty had a great time too (even had his photo taken for the "wall of fame"

Do yourself a favour - try this park.

Absolutely magical setting for this park. Lake, boats, ducks, swans, kookaburras all on show. We had a waterfront villa which was very comfortable. Verandah/deck was great to sit on to watch the world go by. Our own bbq added to the ease of staying here. Water pressure & shower excellent with separate toilet. Management provided a great list of nearby shops etc, which was a first & really handy. Caravan sites looked easy to park.  If traveling this way again we would certainly stop here.

Great place to stay, peaceful & relaxing.

Truly magnificent views from waterfront cabins.  We stayed four (4) nights.  It should have been 44 nights.  We had a 6 berth, 2 bedroom cabin with lake views facing the East for sunrise each morning.  It was somewhat soothing and peaceful.  Cabins were excellent.  Because we were on the water, the aircon was not required frequently.  Looking forward to going back, but in off peak season.  Prices are very high in peak season.

PERFECT PEACE

Loved all the activities available for kids, water views and wildlife. Cabin was very clean, love that we had a dishwasher and the deck was huge. Only negative is the parking for the garden view cabins (facing the water). The spots are so narrow, getting my toddler in and out of the car was impossible so we had to reverse out first to make room :)

We stayed in a budget room, a tiny little room in a block of 4 rooms, with a big deck and 4 individual barbecues.  We could see the lake from our doorway.  The room was too small to sit and eat in, but the deck made up for that.  It was basically comfortable, even though the bed was pushed up against the wall due to lack of room.  There were a couple of small cockroaches in the room, which was a bit off-putting. It's a beautiful park, right at the lake's edge.

We stayed in the Boatshed, beside the lake with an amazing view from the deck. The  accommodation was larger then expected and immaculate. I have to add a big shout out for the reception staff, both welcoming and friendly. 

I wouldn’t hesitate to return and hope to bring our grandchildren with us next time.
