Mowamba River Lodge

Mowamba Lodge was perfect for our first trip to Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountain region. The property is beautiful and we went in Autumn so the trees were changing colour and it was warm during the day and crisp at night. The beds and bed linen were five star hotel quality. We were able to light the fire in the main lounge area at night and the lovely furniture in the main common areas made you want to sit and take in the wonderful view or get cozy by the fire. The bedrooms also had individual access to the veranda with table and chairs to sit at. Breakfast was supplied which included Bacon and delicious fresh eggs to cook or if preferred cereal and toast also a nice selection of Tea and Coffee, also filtered drinking water is provided. There was pantry space for each room if you wanted to bring some of your own food. It is a nice 10 - 15 minute drive to the centre of Jindabyne with lots of wildlife to see on the way. It was really nice to come back to the Lodge after a day at Thredbo or doing activities in Jindabyne. Tom is the owner and an excellent host, we enjoyed the recommendations he suggested for activities and where to eat, and we would have loved to have stayed longer.
