Worrowing Jervis Bay

The perfect location to check in.  Beautifully maintained and clean villas.  Everything was supplied and no detail was left out.  Loved being able to open doors and windows to allow the sea breeze and fresh air flow through.  Easy access to beach.

We have walked into the lovely two bedroom cottage facing the pond and are so impressed with the home and grounds.

It is a gorgeous smallish cottage with top class beautifully kept interiors. Clean as can be.  The cottage has all the amenities you could need and also boasts a Webber bbq for outside cooking.

Perfect for a couple and gives you beautiful scenery from all parts of the cottage.

Check in was seamless with the staff ready with our instructions as we drove in.

There’s a fireplace with a plentiful supply of wood and ready to go. We are very pleased with our choice to book this delightful cottage and recommend definitely to a couple for a private getaway and yet so close to many of the areas highlights.



Great place to stay. Huge amount of wildlife surrounding the property.

Worrowing will always hold a special place in our hearts as it was where we stayed for our Wedding Weekend, but we also stayed her for a weekend in June 2018 to give it a trial / weekend away before to the big day!

During this time we personally stayed in an Eco-Lodge, and also in a Over-Water Bungalow... Both are beautiful with modern facilities, all the amenities you would need for a weekend holiday, and lovely little touches... especially for our Wedding night which included rose petals and a beautiful bottle of wine!

Not only did we stay on-site for our Wedding, but so did another 38 of our dearest friends and family... we hired the entire place, and loved it! This was a big part of what attracted us to Worrowing as we wanted to have everyone together in one central location, and be able to celebrate and just enjoy each others company... Its not often you get to keep everyone together - so why not!

No complaints besides I would recommend getting different colour towels - white is very hard to keep clean :)!

Either way - I would highly recommend Worrowing, and loved it for our Wedding Weekend! We will be back! xx

beautiful quiet simple accommodation in the middle of the bush, but easy drive to shops and beaches - lots of kangaroos and birds, so peaceful and relaxing

We arrived for a two night midweek break on 21st of November. We were greeted by a very welcoming member of staff at reception who gave us all the information we needed regarding the accommodation and surrounding area. We stayed in one of the boathouses and found it to be an absolutely charming, clean, modern and very well equipped with everything we would need for our stay. 
As someone visiting Australia from the UK, we found the animals and wildlife fascinating, Kangaroos and Wallabies feeding right outside the door, freshwater turtles visited us on an evening at the balcony over the pond and a fabulous array of birds. The accommodation has a BBQ on the balcony and sitting around the fire pit with a beer on an evening was the icing on the cake.

Awesome place with crickets noise, plenty of kangaroos. Such a good break from the daily rush. Aircon would have been good though.

Absolutely fabulous so serene and picturesque 

My wife I recently got married at worrowing (early December) The property is a beautiful, natural location which provides a beautiful private wedding. The accommodation isn’t anything new or fancy and does come with some housekeeping rules but still a beautiful location to relax before and on the day of the wedding. 
Maddy and her crew were good with the lead up, ensuring we had what was required for the day. They let us set up what we could the day before and we had the coordinator set up the remainder the next day. 
The venue is a DIY venue so it does mean you do spend extra on hiring outside equipment- but this is explained to you at the start and the vendors you use will let you know what they require. 
There was a couple of things we weren’t told until after booking the venue - like chairs and tables not being allowed outside (However we did come to agreement) and we had some accommodation ( the glamping tents) become unavailable very close to the wedding itself meaning two couples had to pay extra for different accommodation. 
All in all we had a good experience and a beautiful wedding that I wish could have lasted forever at this venue - would recommend.

Wedding

Being a lad who grew up with wide open spaces between neighbours. Meaning a good distance between houses. It was a pleasure to just hear the sounds of nature.
Location is perfect, accomodation is well presented. My only gripe, and this is my personal opinion from a person who carries a knee injury. Bathroom could do with a handrail, as the bathtub is deep, and with no anti slip mat. No shower curtain, so tiled floor does get wet, another problem area for slipping.
A few hooks, or some sort of storage to place clothes, and glasses! Not wine glasses, but eye glasses.
A couple of small night stands beside the bed. Glasses on floor is a problem!
Did have a issue with the gas stove. Seems I could only get the two right hand side burners to work. Oven, gave up after 10 minutes! It would either ignite, then go out. Or nothing would happen.
WiFi, yes, it is offered. But forget getting a connection! We did have 4G through our service provider, so I suggest connecting your own dongle. I would have liked to connect my laptop to post images.
As I said, only a gripe! And something the owners could look into to improve what is already a perfect retreat for city escapees.
Would We come again, yes!

Home away from Home!

We recently attended Worrowing for our sons dream wedding in the country. Plans had been in the making for 18 months prior to the special day with the whole accommodation on site being taken by family and friends with many others in air bnb at nearby towns.

The setting itself was brilliant although inclement weather on the morning forced the service to be indoors as it was deemed too wet to use the outdoor locations. The "shed" was used throughout the day for food presentation speeches and the music/dancing. It was very much a DIY wedding with the happy couple organising everything food drink, cold store, music flowers transport etc etc. 

The accommodation blocks on site are spread far and wide which worked fine, they are clean tidy and well equipped, the site was booked for 3 nights with the intention to use the facilities on the Sunday as well before leaving on the Monday. However it was disappointing to find we could only use the shed on the wedding day and it was highlighted just prior to the weekend that no pre or post wedding celebrations would be allowed on site. Also after spending a fortune to use the whole site for the 3 days $150 dollars were charged for damage to bedding (make up/alcohol) and failure to remove cardboard waste in the required manner.

The venue provided the backdrop for a wonderful occasion enjoyed by 100 guests and the minor quibbles couldn,t spoil it one bit.

DIY Wedding experience

Perfect place for relaxation.

A tranquil place to stay, teeming with kangaroos and bird life, yet so close to the beaches and St George's basin. A great place for an escape from Sydney! We stayed mid week for two nights and watching kangaroos from the comfort of your bed as the mist cleared over the dam as the sun rose was a highlight. The only disappointment? The tiny ensuite in the cabins on the dam for me would put me off a longer stay, but we would definitely look at coming back and trying out the other types of accomodation The Worrowing have on offer

When we booked we were very excited. As the pictures indicated that we had a complete lake front with a small jetty leading out to the lake. It was also implied it was on a private property & you were far from other guest or neighbours. However we were at least 100 metres from St Georges Basin (Not a lake) & no jetty. Our accommodation as at the end of a suburban street with another accommodation on the street front (we were at the rear of property) . Overall it was peaceful & relaxing. May rebook again but would like to look more at one of the cabins they had on the private property.

A little disappointing.

Lovely bush setting by the lake and saw kangaroos when we got up in the morning! Comfortable cabin, basic but enough space and comfy beds. I did find the extra cost of bedding a bit steep - I paid $50 for bed linen and bath towels only to discover that only covered our bed, we had to be imaginative with my son's bedding and we'd brought cot sheets for my daughter. It was also freezing on the first night as neither of the heaters worked. To be fair the manager arranged for more heaters to be delivered the next day and the cabin warmed up fine with those. Overall a positive experience.

Lovely spot, comfortable cabin. Kangaroos!

Walking distance to beach, restaurants, museum, shops and the wharf.  Quiet location, porch and fence for privacy.
